Hey guys,
Does anyone know if any of the current incarnations of STM on DVD or BluRay carry the original 2.0 sound mix? I went digging and I recall WB was supposed to include this sound mix option when they released the special edition, but so much time has passed that I wondered if any of that got sorted out.

They made an error initially, and WB allowed people to send in the old discs for the fixed ones when the box set was out...

I remember having to do the exchange program with the DVD. Plus Superman 3 was the old disc with the first DVD set that came out in 2001, without any extras.
I have the UK blu ray set and everything is correct, including the sound.

I sometimes hear people asking about "original mix" when it comes to sound.
Why is that?
Is it supposed to be better or is it simply a way of watching the original theatrical presentation? Or both?

The only part of the new mix I miss from the original is that you can't hear the "He's lost it, He's lost it!!" bit.

In my case, it's experiencing it the way I originally viewed it. If I'm not mistaken, sound effects have been replaced in spots- (Particularly the one where the green crystal goes flying) - I hear there's other alterations as well.
