I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing too. I was in total disbelief. RIP to the greatest Superman.

Not to take anything away- just an additional perspective: to me, Robin William's suicide feels like the second half of this story- if only to highlight the differences between the two best friends.... and makes Reeve's death even sadder. More than one friend wondered aloud to me, that if Reeve had continued to live to today, with his dignity shining through all the physical limitations- if it would have been inspiration enough to encourage Williams to face Parkinson's, rather than be (apparently) overwhelmed by it. Sadly, a moot point.... but more than the movie, when I get bummed about life things, I do remember how Reeve faced being (essentially) in prison from the neck down after the accident- and didn't allow it to discourage him from trying to make a difference. It's been said before, but Reeve really was a Superman.
