Sadly this article still won't 'clear' Singer with fanboys and the perception that SR was a flop. But-- Yeah, I'm kind of not suprised at all by this article. Just hoping that some big changes happen at the DCU.... but that won't happen as long as they turn enough of a profit on their badly reviewed films.

Financially speaking SR had much more going against it than MOS. Singer had budgetary burdens that Snyder simply didn't and that's not fair. That also means he probably had less money to work with. Singers failures with SR are looking less bad compared to the back to back disasters we keep getting from Snyder. BVS should have been a slam dunk but wasn't. Say what you will about SR but Suicide Squad is a structural nightmare. At least Singer got Superman himself kind of right. "No one stays good in this world."

A hero should never be telling other characters what a good person he is. Others should say it. That was THE line that made me groan out loud in a film that I otherwise (suprisingly) thought was a little better than what I expected. (Though that's still a sideways insult).
