Hi Albert I really like some of you ideas, and the way some of them come together to further the SII story. However, I feel there is one thing that lets your edit down, and that is the compression. The compression you've used to reduce the size of the movie has actually had a negative effect on the viewing experience - because of the picture quality. Is there anyway you can upload a less compressed version?

Some of the changes if I would make my cut today: *I would make new custom made begin credits. *I would make Supergirl's flight a little bit shorter. *More interaction between Supergirl and gen. Zod. *More interaction between Supergirl and Superman. *With my new software I would digitally lower/change my voice in the trailer and in the Jor-El speech. *With new software I would make the end title song sound a little bit slower, so it would better fit the length of the end credits. *Peter Parker's cameo could be just a little bit shorter. *I would make only the RIC segments and Teri Hatcher's cameo widescreen, so the picture quality of the rest fo the movie would improve. *I would create a "Gen. Zod shooting at a painting of president Bush at the White House" scene. *"Villains rule the world" scene!

You should so do those Albert, plus I think with your new converter it would also be worthwhile.

Just got done watching Albert D's cut.
First off, Albert's cut is a fun watch, and is extremely ambitious, and tries to mix in the best parts of the infamous "Supergirl" movie, and weave it into SII, as well as cameos that can be trimmed back a bit (Teri Hatcher's Lois and the 'evil' Peter Parker from Spiderman III), but work actually a little better than one would think.
There are a lot of tiny touches and variations that Albert adds that are interesting- from Supergirl attacking Zod, to re-integrating some IRC footage, to adding Brandon Routh as a transition at the end--- a lot of work has been done on the cut, and as an experiment, it's fun to watch.
Storywise, what Albert did with the two storylines KIND of makes sense, and the effort and ambition deserves praise- but the two movies (SII and Supergirl) were never really designed to fit as one on any level- (At one time, I was planning to do something like that myself w/SIII and Supergirl w/rotoscoping, but determined it was just too much work and would hit similiar limitations)-- so it's in a way like making the 'perfect' SII cut--- can never really be done since the footage isn't really in existence/available. But the attempt is still enjoyable to experience (especially if you don't have to do the work!)
In addition, even though voice-doubling Marlon Brando accurately is an impossible task, still, it was fun to see a new Jor-el/Kal-el scene in the beginning that Albert created- and seeing the 'Lois remembering' scene from Superman IV shortly after the 'memory kiss' scene in SII is interesting- (although it also - through nobody's fault- also shows just how much Kidder aged from SII to SIV).
Technically, some things could be sharpened so that things are smoother in transitions, but that goes for almost every fan cut---(including mine) to the 'professional' Lester and Donner cuts- where footage doesn't always look like a seamless match, even with many Hollywood $$$ behind it.... but, still, in the end, I found Albert's cut enjoyable and daring.
