I have a question about Superman II. I have also asked this question many years ago, but I didn't get any answer. I also didn't get any answer after an extensive Google search. It's about the woman with the pram at the Metropolis battle between Superman and the villains.. You know.. The woman screams: "My baby! Oh, my baby!" Superman catches the spire and the woman says: "Thank you!" I vaguely remember she recorded a song in the early eighties and she named herself "Heywood". She got "famous" thanks to her very small part in Superman II. Does anyone remember a female singer named Heywood who played in Superman II (the woman with the pram screaming "My baby! Oh, my baby!")? What is the real name of that actress? I can't find anything about her on the internet, but I do remember she was a singer who made only 1 hit song. Can anyone tell me who she really is? I have asked myself this question for a very long time..

Finally!! After all these years I finally got an answer! Yes, it does make sense! So her name is Elva Mai Hoover and she was in a movie named Hayseed? Aaaah! So I guess I could be right after all!? I remember about a female singer who was bragging about her very small part in Superman II. She called herself "Heywood". She made only 1 hit song. (I think it sounded a little bit like "Girlfriend" by Pebbles..the same kind of funky music..a little bit like Paula Abdul's old song "Straight Up"..) Thank you very much, manetoys and Jeff!! I have searched the Dutch top 100 hitlist of the years, 1981, 1982 and 1983, but unfortunately no Heywood.. I guess she was a (what we call in Holland) "one-day-fly"..trying to lift on the "fame" of her very small cameo in Superman II. (I also think nobody remembers Pebbles..) For many years the name of this actress has been a mystery to me. I was almost just as curious about her as I was curious about the "lost" Brando footage. I could not find the answer to my questions anywhere. Trust me, I would pay some $$ to get a vinyl 45-tour/turn single by Heywood! But I guess her single is as rare as a virgin in a whorehouse! Thanks again! A part of the mystery is solved!

i went through the cast list on imdb and the only credit that makes sense for her is: Elva Mai Hoover ... Mother (archive footage) (as Elva May Hoover) She's listed along with the East Houston cast. I don't think she was the one from Metropolis. Most likely the one who said "but he was only a boy!" in a deleted scene.

That old woman? "But he was only a boy.." Ursa: "Who will never become a man!.." You mean this woman? The actress I meant was in the Metropolis battle. "Oh, my baby!! My baby!" and after Superman catches the spire: "Thank you!" That's the Heywood I meant! Not the old woman in East Houston!.. Mystery not solved..yet..

That scene always made me cringe. Still does.
You have a lot of advanced notice, lady. You look up as soon as it detaches. That stroller has wheels. USE THEM.
Nope, instead it's deer in the headlights.

I have found this music video on the internet, but I don't think it's the same woman... Haywoode and her song "I can't let you go":

Well that's obviously not the same person, why post the vid unless it's to point out the humor in it?
