I think I have some good news after the horrible news about the attack on our royal family on Queen's Day (April 30). Everything is in a really very early stage, but I've just edited the first 10 minutes of my new Superman movie!!  I still have to make new begin credits and add the soundtrack, but I think it will be good. My new cut will be like nothing you've seen before. It won't be just another Superman cut. Christopher Reeve is not playing Superman in my movie. I am editing the pilot episode of The Adventures Of Superman (starring George Reeves) and Superman And The Molemen and make a new movie. I have already removed most of the original music and I am going to replace it with the music by John Williams. I will also add some scenes from other movies (including STM). The movie will be in black & white and the first half will be a lot like Superman The Movie. The second half will be an edited version of Superman And The Molemen (with very short scenes from other movies). And there won't be a "CGI villains rule the world" scene!..  It will take weeks before everything is finished, but I've made a beginning today. |

I wanted to upload the first 10 minutes on Youtube, but I have received a message from Youtube. I have violated their copyright rules and WMG has asked Youtube to block my video worldwide. There is Superman music in my video and WMG doesn't like that. Well.. It's a Superman video! What do they expect? So childish!.. ;D Obviously WMG has no problem with my Superman II fan edit trailer.. Idiots!.. ;D The first 10 minutes (destruction of Krypton and the Kents finding Kal-El on earth..) look very nice. |

22 Minutes of my new Superman movie (which is almost the first half of the movie) are ready! I have to adjust the sound a little bit, but the basic storyline looks good so far. Of course there's a lot of drama in the first half..just like in STM.. And of course everything is set in the fifthies/early sixties..the way they talk and look like..etc..
I am going to watch a part of SR on Dutch tv this evening and I have to go to work again tomorrow. I have worked on my new fan edit enough for today. I will work on the second half this weekend.

You guys don't like it?  I already told you in my first post it would be a George Reeves movie, but with a STM twist.. The movie is not finished yet. I still have a lot of work to do, but everything will be in black & white. Unfortunately I still don't know how to make the fading echo-effect. I think Ulead Videostudio 11 doesn't have this option. |

Hey Albert, it looks great- The credits look good, my own preference would be even slower, though, an idea- but then again, I thought the RDC Donner credits go too fast for audience, too.
What might be fun is to transform other films (or the later tv shows or even the Fleischer cartoons) into black and white and maybe even insert them as well (maybe that's already the plan?).

Thanks, CAM. I haven't worked on my fan cut lately, because I had a lot of other things to do. I am very busy guy.. I've been to the cinema to watch Star Trek, bought some new dvd's (including the Iron Man 2-dvd set) and I'm busy with my "illegal" hobby.. And I had to go to work. The movie is also much to short at this moment: only 67 minutes. I have edited a lot in the pilot episode of The Adventures Of Superman, but I didn't edit Superman And The Molemen. I only removed the voice-over. At this moment I don't know how to make a 2-hour movie. I have to edit at least 2 more episodes. Oh, the Warner Bros logo will be in full color at the very beginning, but it will slowly fade into black & white!.. I'm also thinking about using material from Star Trek TOS - The Cage and maybe even the old black & white Captain Marvel tv series. Of course I will end the movie with a message about the tragic suicide of George Reeves (and maybe use some very short footage from Hollywoodland..enter Ben Affleck?..just kidding! ) |

If I may offer my opinion?
Wouldn't ending the film with Reeves' suicide be a little bit of a downer? I'm guessing the movie would end with Superman triumphant, so that would be a little jarring, going from that to the death of the film's hero.
Just sayin'.
