Which one of the Christopher Reeve-era's 2 main love interests/leading ladies do you like better?
I pick Annette O'Toole's Lana Lang. She's gorgeous, sweet and(in contrast to Margot Kidder's Lois Lane) is in love with Clark Kent, not Superman. It's too bad she never got to fly with Superman and that the only series entry she appeared in wasn't better than it was.

Further proof that SIII wasn't all bad.
I loved all the Smallville scenes. And despite the occasional annoyance from Ricky, I rather liked the modern approach to making Lana a single mom.
She and Reeve had chemistry and I would've liked if their relationship was taken farther since the Lois angle was pretty well explored in STM and SII.
"You tell Superman we think he's wonderful, but Clark...you're the best." Lois certainly never said that. I thought it was cool to see Clark get something on his own. Lois was too taken in by the godly, movie star thing that was Superman.

I voted for Lois, but ONLY "STM" Lois, not Skeletor Lois from S2 onwards.
Naughty and hot, with that throaty voice...
O'Toole's got great cans, though.

Now that I think about it, I wouldn't want either Lois or Lana.
Gimme some Miss Teschmacher. Now there's a woman.

good thread, but hard to generalise considering Margot was in all 4.
I'd say Margot from STM (and Donner Cut SII) - great, and she was pretty cute then, pre Rat Woman days.
Annette - smoking hot in Supes 3 - the acting wasn't as good as the abovementioned, but damn she was the ideal MILF.

Even if you do, that's what Private Messages are for! ;D
EDIT: Lana, without a shadow of a doubt. I have to say, to an extent the love story of STM/S2 falls flat because, as Enrique said, she got taken in by the godly movie star. Add that with the way she treats Clark - at some points I couldn't tell if she was jerking him around (I mean, he did kinda make his affections known) or being genuinely oblivious. Lana's less... hm, what's the word... vindictive?

On the STM DVD, there needed to be a featurette on just how they prevented Perrine's nipples from showing through her clothes after she saves Superman.

I liked both, but I'll vote for Margot because she fell for Supes, just as I would. I just can't buy that a girl could fall for a guy like Reeve's Clark; he was just too much, too goofy and clumsy, and a real act. I'd be ashamed to be his girlfriend. ;D Also, in Superman II, Lois seems ok with Supes without his powers. She still seemed to love him.. though who knows for how long..

Lana. I always preferred Lana to Lois in the movies. Smallville of course changed all that.

I went with Lana. I always thought Lois was ugly and couldn't see why he was attracted to her. However I was 5 and couldn't understand relationships like I don't know but I still don't think a guy like Superman would fall for Lois.
Superman is an act, Metro Clark is an act, Smallville Clarke is real. This is how I see. So Superman wanting Lois is a false start to any relationship because it's not who he really is. Metro Clark is a goofball in order to disguise himself. He does a good job but e.g. Lac fancies the goofball and Clark knows this and rejects her. Clark is Clark in SIII and Lana loves that. She prefers him to Superman and he's more at home and natural with her. This is the only relationship that could work because both are acting like their true individual self.
In S:TAS, I love how they played it. There is very little Smallville Clark to have a comparison and Lois loves Superman. But I love how they dealt with Clark/Lana. When she came to Metropolis she know it was Clark straight away and that Superman is an act also. Although they used to go out in high school, she respects him and has a friendship with her that he doesn't have with anyone else. He's attracted to Lois as she's like a Superwoman among regular women, real go getter unlike STM Lois (well she does a bit but not really. Apart from Airforce One we only have Perry's word to go by that she's a strong woman).

Somebody Kill Me... but - Annette O' Toole for the Christopher Reeve chemistry - so Lana Lang. For the TV series - it is Teri Hatcher who is the Hottest Lois Lane!
