I came across this on youtube yesterday. I have no idea where this is from.. is it from any of the documentaries on the 14 DVD Box Set? Granted I haven't watched all of them yet because of the lack of Closed Captions.
It shows Christopher Reeve talking about his role as Superman and his working out to get in shape for it. Even shows him working out. This is Part 1.. Part 2 is about Brandon Routh getting the part and working out as well.
Lots of cool behind the scenes footage as well.. some that I haven't seen.. maybe it'll be new to you.

That's great but Reeve stands Head & Shoulders above all the other actors as the Best Superman ever. To me Routh seemed like a good superboy , especially with that teenage voice.

. Teenage voice? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?  Routh's voice sounds so close to Reeve's that it's nuts. I have praise for Reeve, too- Reeve is great, but Reeve is no longer alive, sadly. Even if he were, he would not physically be able to play Superman in the movies with the condition he tragically was in at the end. So....do you have an alternative actor to offer who might be best for NOW, or is it just easier to diminish Routh? Praising Routh doesn't take anything away from Reeve, just as praising Reeve doesn't take anything away from George Reeves. |

Maybe it's a mixed blessing that a number of people thought Kate Bosworth was too young to play Lois--- maybe Singer REALLY knew ahead of time how long it would take to get a sequel rolling... by the time the sequel will get going, maybe Kate will also be 40! ;o
