Hey guess what I just heard? There is gonna be a Superman II!!!
It seems that a whole bunch of footage was shot already and they're even gonna bring in a brand new director (the guy who did a Hard Day's Night!)
Wow! two directors for the film.... this is gonna be huge!!
Rumour has it he's gonna shoot a whole new action sequence to open the film and is also gonna shoot a bunch of intimate scenes with Lois and Superman!
He's also gonna shoot a big sequence in East Houston with Zod Non and Ursa taking over the world!
And guess what?
I hear they're bringing back Superman's Mom to shoot brand new scenes! I can't wait for this movie!

Ok, I'll play along.
Yeah, it's awesome! Don't know about the mother replacing Brando, though.... it doesn't really make sense. A floating head of Lara?
Hopefully it'll be more serious than STM. I loved it, but could have done without the rather silly jokes with Luthor and Otis. I don't want to see comedic villains from Krypton. They're supposed to be scary and badass. The trial scenes with Stamp and Brando helped give a giant sense of anticipation for the level of menace that would happen if the villains would escape, I expect them to trash the world.
With the giant success of STM, I don't understand why they'd get rid of the director. The helicopter scene alone from STM, and many other scenes were epic, but maybe it'll be even more serious under Lester.
What moron would turn SII --- which had already had its groundwork and half the footage shot--- into a brainless comedy?
There's no director that would be that brutal. He'd be so hated for destroying a film, that it could last for decades.

They are gonna shoot a bunch of intimate scenes with Lois and Superman?! Can't wait! I just hope they get rid of Otis, though. The sequel needs to be more intense and serious! Zod seems so badass.

Remember Sheriff J.W. Pepper in Live and Let Die? That guy is hilarious. The next Superman movie definitely needs a character like that. I've got my fingers crossed!

They fired Dick Donner!
I'm not seeing a movie directed by the guy directed Help! Nothing against The Beatles.

But wait I think the movie is gonna be great! Think about it, they're re-writing the script, that means that it's being refined big time. I heard Donner had this weird idea about Lois shooting Clark with a gun or something and Villians destroying "key monuments" whatever that means. I also heard that Donner wanted Superman to turn back time (again! ) so thankfully Lester is gonna come up with a new idea for an ending!!

If only we had powerful computers to create generated images of the three villains taking over the world.

Oh don't worry, I heard that the new East Houston scene is gonna be huge like destruction on a massive scale.
In fact my friend told me that the sequence is gonna be so intense that the film might be rated R! He said that because Non apparently kills a little boy!

Oh, yeah...but even though "The Three Musketeers" was a classic by Lester, "Four Musketeers" wasn't that hot....
Also.... is he going to be able to match the helicopter sequence or the rocket chase sequence in STM? This Lester directed comedies that made fun of itself..... I'm worried that Lester will destroy this franchise if he wants to turn everything into slapstick.
I'm worried that Superman III will be nothing but a big joke, under Lester. Superman needs respect, so I'm a little worried- especially since Donner got SO much right that no one else did, in all these years of tv and movie versions....

Also, I think Newsweek talked in its 5-page review of STM about Donner's perfectionism. If Lester isn't a perfectionist like Donner, maybe it'll be faster and cheaper, but not necessarily as classic as STM.
I'm worried.... using this Lester guy could destroy what could be one of the most classic (don't know if that's proper grammar or not) fantasy/comic book sequels ever made...

The Salkinds are cheap! Apparently they used cut footage from The Three Musketeers to make The Four Musketeers!

There was a whole article in cinefex about applying the recent advances in red cellophane to this movie, that should be impressive. They should also use "Don't stop til you get enough" on the soundtrack. That Michael Jackson must get ALL the ladies.

crazy asian man don't you worry about a thing!
I heard from an inside source that Lester is working on an action sequence so intense that it's gonna put the helicopter rescue and chasing rockets to shame!
You see, Lester is gonna have the villians blow the citizens of Metropolis with their super-breath and it's gonna cause destruction of biblical proportions!
You will not be disappointed by this sequence!

Hope that they fire John Williams and replace him with a school marching band.
And they should def get rid of Gene Hackman! My dentist can do a fair impersonation of him, I wonder if the Salkinds will be interested? He told me that he has an audition to play Superman but "I don't believe him" (I hope they use that line in Superman II).
Heard about Harrison Ford's new film Raiders of A Golden Ark? Looks boring as heck!!

Just came back from watching The Empire Strikes Back, FAR TOO DARK a film, man, far too dark. Won't spoil the ending, but let's just say Christmas around the Skywalkers is gonna get interesting.
If he makes a third one though I'd like more cuddly characters to aid the rebellion, or even a pseudo Rastafarian character for some comic relief.
C3PO was good though.

I LOVED ESB!
What's the deal with Lucas saying it's Episode 5? That guy is weird.
Back to Superman, I just hope Lester gives a quality picture. I'm too much of a Superman fan to not see this, even if they did fire Donner. But if I see a guy on roller skates, I'm walking out of the theater. BTW, the theater near me plays all their films in Dolby Surround Sound. Can it get any better than that?

lol, just saw Richard Pryor on Tonight Show, bigging up STM!! He practically told the entire story!!
They should sign him up, really! Think about it! Reeve and Pryor together, it'd be classic!

If they do it right. Pryor is a great actor, people don't get to see that side of him. If they can find the right director to work with Pryor, I'm pretty sure it can be a great movie. If Lester decides to make it a Richard Pryor comedy with Superman as the costar, then it will fail.

Hey, that sounds original and it could be a very compelling villain! ...

I don't understand why Margot Kidder looks great in one shot, and like Skeletor in another. It's the same scene!
