Just got my rejection letter from Speilberg, sent him a script about a boy befriending a lost alien, he says he's not interested, that it will never find an audience.
What a nice man for writing. He even scribbled some notes on the pages of my unsolicited first draft.

I just bought 10,000 tickets to John Lennon's 1981 concert. They're not refundable, but I know it'll be well worth the price when I make a sweet profit off them.

Let's face it, no one in 1980 had the foggiest idea any of this Donner firing/Lester reshooting thing was going on. Things would have been mighty different if the internet were around then. E-mail carpet bombs to the Salkinds, perhaps? ;D Oh, I know. A useless internet petition to reinstate Donner (complete with 300 out of 250,000 signatures). |
