They have a DC-comic theme today. (Artwork by Jim Lee) Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Robin, Plastic Man (Plastic Man, buh?), but NO Superman? Supes gets no love these days. ....Plastic Man? Do they still make comics for that guy?

Do they still make comics for that guy? Ain't it the truth. Worse - DC has removed Superman from many of the books. Gone from Action and Superman is now about Mon-El. Its like DC is not even making the effort anymore. Oh well.

Look how unimpressive the DCU looks without Supes, though. 2013 is going to be a monumental year for all Superman fans.

Whatever happened to that Plastic Man script by the Wachowskis? IIRC, Jim Carey was attached to the project. From what I know of the character, which granted is very little, he would have been a good fit.

It may be a strategic/financial decision by DC to start phasing in replacement characters but it sucks anyway. Latest it looks like DC is dropping Superman from JLA. www.newsarama.com/comics/090725-sdcc09-dcu-editorial.html#comments

they're back-burning superman ? its just disgraceful ! i can undeerstand , what with the economy and trends and so forth that he might have fewer books- but he IS THE character !! its like disney without mickey mouse ! back in the late 60's , early 70's the X-men were so unpopular that they werent paying anyone to do the books and were running reprints and toyed with moth-balling the concept altogether - NOW , X-men is the anchor of marvel if superman is down now , well we have been here before - remember that doc they made before SR ? superman fans have actually had a LOT to endure- if superman isnt being ignored he is being mistreated more often than not. it's actually RARE for people who produce superman actually " get it " about superman. let him slip back into b-list for now - but you can't keep him down .
