Its shows we are not sad, drooling fan boys. I've seen hero worship on other boards that embarrasses the heck out of me.
If Margot Kidder, for example, came on the board, I am sure we would be respectful to her. We were all initially excited about Jack coming on board and doing that chat but he kind of came across as retarded so we laughed.
We're like a bunch of school kids, lol. I am sure Damian could handle himself if he came on here. What, flexing those guns and all.

No one would flip their shit and get really excited and respectful if any one of us joined some other board, I sure won't do so for anyone joining this board except for the later mentioned. Everyone's on the same playing field when it comes to the internet. Life, too, of course, no one's shit doesn't stink, but especially on the internet.
Fame for one specific thing does not automatically lead to necessary respect. i.e. the GUNS!
I'd LOVE it if Kidder or McClure came here, though, as I feel they would probably be rather normal easy going folk with not much ego. Those two are pretty much the only ones you'd think WOULD come here. I'm sure Donner and Stamp and such have bigger fish to fry.

Besides, I'm not so sure I'd call it "hating" so much as busting balls.
There are VERY FEW people who could flex muscles at a bar like that and get away with it and not come across like a douchebag. In fact, I can only think of 3: Arnold, Lou Ferrigno and Hulk Hogan and that's because it's "their character".
