First of all apologies for anyone who looked at this thread thinking it was a double bill screening of the movies.
Bit of pointless, obscure memory anecdote;
It may be my childhood memory telling me this, but I'm certain that when Superman 1 and 2 was shown as a double bill in cinemas in 1981, at the end of Superman 1 when Reeve does his trademark fly past before the credits another credit (in the Superman style) appeared stating "Hold Tight In Your Seats (Folks) For Superman II After A Short Intermission."
I only recall this because my dad read it out as the lights went out for the intermission.
There's no way I could ever know this for sure unless I could get my hands on the double bill prints. (one day I will, one day.....)
But then, I still swear that I saw a scene in Superman where Jor-el explains the significance of the 'S' symbol, even though extensive research shows that he didn't.

I saw the films as a double bill several times in Australia, and the "hold tight" credit never appeared.
