Saw this fantastic Superman collection today over at SHP. It's Shaquille O'Neal's. supermanhomepage.com/news.php?readmore=6749#commentsWe can use this thread to post our own collections. To the mods: I looked around a little but didn't see a thread like this, but if there is, please feel free to close this one.

Shaquille O'Neal a superman fan?
With the exception of one photo he seems more in love with the S logo rather than the hero himself.
Interesting.

Yeah, he loves Superman. That had something to do with him taking the role of Steel, the real Man of Steel. ;D

Most of my Superman collection is bubblewrapped and boxed, the only things that I have in the open are my Superman books, movie brochures and dvd collection. And my cinema teaser Superman the movie quad poster.

I've got that second mego figure that's meant to me Reeve. The skin tone on mine is also very dark. Has it always been like that or is it the effects of time on the rubber?

i think the plastic was always a bit darker - it may have gotten a bit duller with age , but it just looks like superman has a slight tan- compared to say , the old KENNER starwars figures where luke and han had uber-white-peach skin! ;D
i had superman megos like CRAZY - always wore 'em out . found these here or there at toy-shows . love 'em !
i have a slew of " super powers " and other 80's toys- but like i said photobucket is pissing me off

I loved the Super Powers figures. I wish I still had them.. I think the only one I have left is Wonder Woman, Flash and Darkseid... I dunno, I'll have to go through my stuff lol.
Think I might start looking for lose figures on Ebay and getting them again. Might have to get Superman and a few others still MIB lol.

( the bastard ) . all my superpowers are loose save a few carded figures with multi-langauge packaging. gotta love those mini-comics too. the coolest was thay were almost the same scale as marvel secret wars .

I had a few of the Marvel's Secret Wars figures too, and a playset.. but don't know what one it was now lol.
I had pretty much all the figures for Super Powers except Parademon (Grandparents bought the toys for me, and didn't like the demon so never got that one) and the rare Cyborg. Other than that I had all of them. I think there were only 1 or 2 vehicles that I didn't have.
I didn't even know there was a Darksied Playset.
I always wanted them to make the "Hall of Doom"? from the Super Friends cartoon.. the place that was always in the swamp. I wanted one of those lol.
Man I really love those toys. I wish they would bring them back like how they brought back vintage GI Joes and Transformers. They don't make toys like that anymore, unfortunately.

Jor, I'm coming over to play lol.
The Super Powers look awesome! I still wish I had mine.
The secret wars, I had all of them cept the purple guy in the middle. I had spidey and black spidey too.. i think that was those were the only Secret Wars figures I had.. Don't know how many figures there were though.
You know that there was supposed to be a series 4 I think for Super Powers? I came across a site once that was talking about them and showed pics.. I'll see if i can find it again.. it was quite cool.

^^^^
i am an uber-nerd.
--i would love to getthe whol set , if i can manage ( $$$ ) the rarest are capt marvel and cyborg.
-- the secret wars were cool too- the black-suit spidey , and the wolverine with BLACK claws are HOT!!
-- the recent hasbro justice league figues are called the " second coming " of superpowers because of the scope of obscure charcters they made.
you know whats wierd- ? this is just me being odd- i LOVE the smell of the plastic. seriously, i keep the pristine ones wrapped in a plasitc bag and when i open it up it smells brand new. ;D
kinda like that old-paper smell of old comics. if you know what i mean you know what i mean ,

Capt Marvel was a rare one? Damn I had that one too lol.
I forgot about Wolverine.. I had him as well, but I think the claws were sliver and not black.
Man I really miss those.. I gotta get my income a little higher so I can get these again lol.
I like the Justice League figures, but I never really had the money to go and get them like i would want so I just didn't get into it.
You like those new DC Direct figures they have now.. you see the Crisis line? They look pretty cool.. I just seen Supergirl, the one that gets killed in the Crisis storyline. I wouldn't mind picking up some of those.

yeah , the DC directs figures are amazing - but PRICEY!
the retail market DC HEROES line is pretty damn good too. they had a series of late-silver-age themed superman with the skeletal brainiac and super-suit luthor .....mmmmmm
a lot of that stuff is replacement for stuff iwore out and lost. some of it is left over from childhood. i dont have the budget for toys like iused to , so just get new stuff for the kids when i can.
one collection i managed to save in its entirety is my THUNDERCATS ! woo-hoo gotta ton of them !!
what i am really wanting to get is the rest of the superman-themed MEGO , and the CORGI ( comparable to hot wheels ) line of superman playsets.

THESE LINKS ARE AWESOME!!! very cool , thank you - you made my day man. love the SUPERPOWERS !! i did know that there were some planned-but-canceled figures , and i knew that toy-biz made some ( SH*TTY ) copies of superpowers molds . once Kenner got the license back they used the superpowers batman, joker and penguin for the " dark knight collection "/ " batman returns " line. ( which was interesting- because the superpowers penguin was so completely different from tim burtons batman - and they included a robin figure , though not derivitive of the sprpwers line - but a new sculpt based on the new tim drake design ) very cool nerdy stuff there . i definately want to go after that collection . that and mego , if i ever have the means i want to find the rest of that stuff.

That Robin figure was based off of early scripts of Robin actually being in Batman Returns I believe. Marlon Wayans I guess was being mentioned to play Robin, which is why that Robin figure has a flat top. But I guess when Robin wasn't going to be in the movie they just made him up a little more to look like Tim Drake and painted the face white. (That's crazy lol)
I hated the Penguin, in that they didn't do a new sculpt and that Catwoman was a previously made sculpt for Catwoman in the Super Powers line but never got put into production.
Glad you liked those links Jor, theres a lot of info in there lol.
