Here's a restored preview, which ran after each classic episode of the series first year 1951. Uploaded by Captain Celluloid! Here's one of my favorite episodes of 1951. Edited for youtube! Enjoy!!! AROUND THE WORLD WITH SUPERMAN (DELETED SCENE). DELETED AFTER THE SERIES WENT INTO SYNDICATION, AND NEVER RESTORED BY WARNER BROTHERS FOR THE DVD RELEASE OF THE SERIES. UPLOADED BY CAPTAIN CELLULOID!

Whoa!!!!
Did YOU restore these?!?!? If so, great work! Or is this just what they look like on the dvds?
I shamefully haven't bought the dvds yet, as I taped every episode of TV Land a few years ago, and they're still in great shape. And I'm poor.

The first clip is a restored print you won't find on DVD. It's being shown on this message board for the first time. The second one is exactly what you see in the DVD version's first year, except that all the episodes are complete on DVD.

Well, the restored job is gorgeous.
The primary reason I haven't caved in and bought the seasons is that the same tapes I have AOS on also have Batman 1966 on them. All chronological, so it's a Superman episode followed by a Batman 2-parter, and so on and so forth.
I labeled the tapes "World's Finest" because I'm a tremendous nerd.

Absolutely brilliant series. Season 1 was terrific. I picked up all the Reeves stuff in 06 and was very pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed seasons 1 and 2. Wonderful vintage television and one of my all time fave TV shows.
George Reeves was the fucking man!

To quote Phyllis Coates, when I had her at my event last year, Hollywoodland was "pure trash." My feelings exactly!!!

WARNERS BROTHERS DIDN'T DO A GOOD JOB WITH IT'S DVD RELEASE OF THE SERIES. IN THE "AROUND THE WORLD WITH SUPERMAN" EPISODE THERE WAS A SCENE DELETED AFTER THE SERIES WENT INTO SYNDICATION, THAT WAS NEVER PUT BACK. I'LL BE POSTING THAT SCENE SOON. IF A DECENT PRINT FROM THE KELLOGG'S INTRO SURFACES, I'LL BE THE FIRST TO KNOW. SO FAR, NOTHING HAS COME UP.

Caps are necessary at times, because of my eye problems. I don't mean to scream at anyone. I'll let you know when I do. lol ;D
