I`m wondering if I should be proud or if I should ask my wife if she used to be as dude!

You are so lucky if that's the case man. I wish I found a girl that loved and understood some of the geeky things I like.

I'm reading on the AVSForums that Superman Returns' PCM track is one of the greatest sound tracks on any movie ever.

I think it will have the same packaging as the previous one. It'll have the TrueHD logo there to show it's new.
It's not really a double dip, more of an update (similar to the Fifth Element reissue), so there won't be flashy new packaging. Aside from the new audio track, there's nothing new.

There's the difference in packaging. Upper left indicates it has PCM and TrueHD, and there's a TrueHD logo on the lower right. I'm having trouble finding this. It was supposedly released yesterday (some places said 9/7), but Amazon does not have a separate listing for it. This kind of release pisses me off. Since it's a replacement rather than a double dip, are retailers waiting to sell their current stock before replacing with the superior versions?

Hm, is that right? Well, at 24.95, that's a relatively decent price. I'd much rather get it through Amazon. Aw shucks, what to do.

Apparently it's been delayed again.
If you decide to buy from Warner Brothers home video, do a google search on coupons, they always have something a'goin'.

Yeah, as I gathered from a AVSforum thread, it's delayed to "TBA". Just beautiful.... www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=913328&page=15To make matters worse, the original Blu-ray was incorrectly given standard definition Deleted Scenes, yet the package clearly says 1080p. Someone on that forum said he got a reissued copy. I don't know if that's legit or not, but he does confirm that the deleted scenes were once again in SD. The HD-DVD had the deleted scenes in 1080p, but there was some error for the Blu-ray, and we got 480i deleted scenes. Once again, Warner Home Video is a clusterfuck. If anyone can manage to find it, the UPC is 085391177913.

so we should not get conspiratorial about WB and dumping singer- its just a ( typical ) technical glitch from WHV ?

That particular glitch dates back to 2006, yet there's been no correction. I guess no one cares about deleted scenes after all. I suppose when people are able to make fan cuts using Blu-rays, people WILL care then.
As for it being typical, well, look at the other issues for the Superman releases, and judge for yourself.

Jimbo, the one they're talking about on AVS is the Australian BluRay with the scenes not in HD.
The BluRay here in the States, whenever it comes out, if it does, will have the scenes in HD. Hopefully.

No, I read way back that the original US Blu-ray had the deleted scenes in 480p, and not HD. I bet nothing will change. They're just taking the original disc and inserting TrueHD and PCM. I hope I'm wrong. I hate little disappointments like that.
Right now I'll just settle for it being available for sale.

Next week on the 7th, it'll be available in stores, apparently it's already available online thru specific vendors like WBHV.

I guess that's the only option. It still isn't even posted on Amazon. I guess WB wants to clear out their stock of the original disc in stores first.
