I doubt that. you visit a forum everyday and post many things. it must be a serious hobby for you. you are part of fanboy group that give it a bad name. I like movies and stuff. but being an internet dummy is not it.

By that generalization you just made, I would say you DO take it seriously.

I don't consider this to be a hobby, it's just something to do when work is slow. I login in the morning when I come in and sometimes I post and sometimes I don't. It depends on my schedule. My hobby, well, my passion is music and being a musician I gig constantly on the weekends, thus is the reason I rarely post on the weekend. And, I never take myself too seriously, if you read my post you'll notice I make fun of myself quite frequenlty. And, I like Smallville for Pete's sake, isn't that proof enough? LOL!

Hey Jacob, careful with the finger pointing ole buddy. Legsy is as cool as they come. Probably THE most level headed & friendly poster in the history of this community. Were all just Superman fans having a good time. If Ive ever met ANYONE who takes it all a bit serious, its you. But we still love ya This has been a post, in the style of Jack's Modem.

Does your sound system do TrueHD and PCM 5.1?

Very nice. I hope to upgrade sometime. I got mine in 2005 when those formats didn't exist yet.
Oooooh, the TX-NR906 looks damn sexy.

I bought it earlier this year, but I really hadn't used it till I bought my PS3. I got it for $400 at Fry's. They have some great deals.
The soundtrack for SR was amazing! It's a little better than the sound on TDK, it's prolly the same but I am bias towards the Big Blue Boy Scout.

Looks like your receiver includes the Faroudja DCDi Edge deinterlacer. I bet you're enjoying some awesome 1080p video. If your DVD player includes an HDMI-out, you can use the receiver to upscale instead of your player.

You have the benefit of having a newer model, which is a lot quieter than the old 20GB/60GB models. I don't use it for upscaling DVDs. I have a separate player for that.
I sure do love being able to play PS2 games on that.

Keep checking. It'll be there eventually.
When I got it initially, there were two copies, the one I bought, and the old version.
When I went back a week later to buy something else, there was one disc available, and it was the reissue.

I wonder why it was not retained for DVD though. The DVD does have the IMAX version in the form of the digital copy.

Yes, DVD's released here in the States fall under the region one category. But, most DVD players can be modified to be region free. Check your owners manual for verification. The best place to get this reissue is through Amazon. I had issues finding it in stores so I went to Amazon to get mine. Jacob provided this link a few pages back. www.amazon.com/SUPERMAN-RETURNS-BR-DVD-TRUEHD-AUDIO/dp/B001F3FUK6/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1223928192&sr=1-3

Found the PCM and TrueHD BluRay one at Best Buy today! NEEHAW! Pleased as punch. It sounds ridiculous. A lot cleaner than the HD DVD. I dunno about the picture, though. Seems about the same, I may do a comparison test.

It's the same exact encode, bit for bit. It would have been nice if they reduced the compression since the disc has a lot of extra space. It still looks great though.

REALLY?!?!?
I meant do a HD DVD vs PS3 test. See if there's any difference in playback and color like I've heard.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this but I got a 52inch 1080p tv yesterday. I only have the Batman movies on Blu-ray at the moment but I plan on getting the Supes ones too.
My question: I put the Donner Cut of STM DVD on my PS3 and it looks fantastic on the 52inch, even up close. It might be a stupid question, but is there a noticable difference on the Blu-ray?
Thanks
