the flying fx look better than the ones in superman returns. at least you can see him!

The part where he flies off is way better than any take off scenes in returns.

This was posted in another thread on here about a year or so ago. Ah, sorry. I missed it, obviously. Anyway, yeah... its pretty awful. My favorite Superman endorsement is still that Jeep Cherokee one from around 10 years ago. It's subtle right up until the end, and doesn't hit you over the head with it's Supermanity (yes, I just made up that awesome word): |

The flying shots in the first ad were better than all of the ones in Superman Returns, and that advert was only 30secs long!..haha I'm inclined to agree as well. The use of shots for that advert were more on par with the decent flying stuff we saw from the previous movies than in SR. Having said that, SR did have an awesome flying sequence with the plane, just a shame we couldn't have had more of that throughout. Matthew Bomer seems like a nice guy, from what I've seen from interviews and certainly has the look and personality to possibly pull it off but he doesn't have the height and as good as he is Brandon Routh as a whole was a better choice. But put it this way, if Matthew Bomer was anounced he was Superman tomorrow I wouldn't have too much of a problem with the idea, as Matthew Bomer is a lot better than any of the other potential choices for Superman over the years that's for sure and of recent rumours. Other than that my only gripe is Brandon Routh deserves another chance. |

He is on that new USA show called Blue Collar or White Collar?. If he were to be a movie Superman he needs to put on some muscle. I never seen any of his acting. Didn't Ratner want him as Superman?

I think I'm actually taller than Bomber. That's his downfall for Supes, he's not the right height.
He's a pretty good actor, and even kinda looks like Supes, if he puts on the weight and grows a few inches in height.

Bomer is GREAT in "Chuck" ---- but I agree that height-wise, he's not tall enough for Supes. Maybe Wolverine, when they reboot his franchise that franchise?  |
