Mods: feel free to delete this thread if deemed too silly to exist. (I'll be fine)
A thought:
* In Superman II:
(1) Superman never does much about food. Only when Lois mentions food, does he go to get food- (Does he cook that parakeet off-screen? We know Superman is a Kryptonian. Is Superman also a vegan? We never actually see any in-and-out burgers being destroyed on Krypton as it blows up.) And he EATS the souffle.
(2) When Superman becomes human, for that brief time, he goes to the Diner (on Lois' request), and needs to go to the Men's restroom.
(3) Whilst in the restroom, there's an empty seat next to Lois, that the trucker takes.
(4) Consequently, Clark loses his seat next to Lois, which causes Clark to battle the trucker, and lose.
(5) Since he's just lost, and everyone in the diner is upset, the waitress turns on the tube, which alerts Clark to Zod's takeover.
(6) Rather than having a chance to really enjoy being human, because of the chain of events, he's got to go right BACK to the FOS to get changed back. Raw deal, if you ask me.
In a separate timeline:
(1) Superman doesn't eat the souffle/ ((or overcooks it with his heat vision, causing Superman to get quality take-out food that may or may not cause the type of indigestion that immediately makes one need to go to the bathroom right after transforming from being a Kryptonian to human. Presumably in this timeline, it doesn't))
(2) Because Superman didn't eat the souffle, Clark doesn't need to go to the men's restroom at the diner and has a seat next to Lois.
(3) Consequently, he truck driver sees that Clark's sitting there from the get go, so he sits somewhere else.
(4) The diner is peaceful, no fight, so there's no need to turn on the tv set.
(5) Consequently, Clark isn't made aware of Zod from the tv set....yet.
(6) Consequently, Clark isn't beat up by the trucker, and has a chance to enjoy being a human being for a LITTLE longer, before going back to the Fortress.
((*Unless, in a third potential timeline, Clark's back got stiffer, and had to see a chiropractor, first, before going back to the FOS))
In any case, if you look at it--- Clark REALLY got a raw deal in becoming a human. He gets to sleep with Lois, and go to the loo/john/restroom, then gets beat up, and can't even get a lift back to the Fortress of Solitude. (Why can't Clark keep the car?)
I blame it on the souffle. And possibly Lois' cooking.
Thoughts?
((Bears repeating: Mods, if this is TOO silly, feel free to delete.))
