I've been on myspace 5 years. Facebook isn't in the same league as myspace. It's not even in the same park as this message board. It's still feeling its way around!

I always thought facebook was trying to be like myspace, with the exception of apps. I don't use them on my sites!! lol Facebook is just too simplistic in its setup! No color! I've sponsored Noel Neill 3 times, and Phyllis Coates once, at my conventions the past 4 years. Fans of the show have noticed the effort I've gone thru, to having them appear on the east coast. They made it official, not I. Right now, I'm trying to convince Jack Larson to make the trip. Not easy, since Jack doesn't like to fly!

Wow, good work! Do you have any recent pics of Phylis? Easily the most beautiful Lois (IMO), plus the best actress. She really nailed the part perfectly. Nell was good but too likable and smiley; Coates was all business.

every women who ever plays Lois should watch some of Phylliss Coates work.
Hatcher worked with the women on L&C so you'd think she would have picked up some ideas but...nope. Bosworth REALLY should have watched some of her work on TAOS.

I wish they'd have cast her as Ma Kent in SR
Honestly she blew me away in AOS and her chemistry with Reeves was brilliant. I now see dean cain's show (season 1) was a direct update of that show, obviously with the romance taking front seat.
She turned up on an Ep of the Abbott and Costello TV show in 53 with dyed blonde hair playing a gangster's moll when she should have been doing more of the serious Lois
Nell was too weak and jokey IMO. Very nice lady, but Lois Lane is more of a hard ass and was pioneering in the 40s as a tough, professional female

Considering L&C in its first season did a direct update/remake of one of AOS's most classic episodes what took you so long to figure that out? ;D And it wasn't even a very good remake. Cain showed why he couldn't carry Reeves jockstrap in All Shook Up. Panic In The Sky was so much better. Noel fit the tone the show took in its later seasons and even the serials but Coates was my preferred Lois in the first and best season of AOS.

East coast fans will agree with you! Phyllis has been the biggest money maker among celebs at my events, in her only New York appearance, with close to $5000.00 in autograph sales alone!

Celluloid, if you do see her again, can you ask her if she remembers working with Abbott & Costello on their TV show and if so to share any memories?
Thanks!

That was one of the first questions I asked her , when I visited her in Cali for my event. She said Costello was always trying to pinch her rear on the set. "A very funny man!" ;D

Ah yes. Sexual harassment was such a wonderful thing in the golden age of comedy... ;D
