Check it in out in HD, with commercials unfortunately, if you can.

So the BBC not only rip off the UK tax payer but also generate revenue from overseas advertising?

Hmm. I learned something today. Also, they really botched the ending of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves last night. I love that ending so much, but they sliced it into pieces and it left me VERY unhappy. Hope they don't mess up Superman II too terribly.

I will confirm for you all that it is Lester's Superman II. I also noticed something new, thanks to HD. In the East Houston bar, there was a Burger King logo in the back. Wow!

Is it 2.35 or cropped to 16x9?

Yeah, it was cropped down to 1:85. Still better than 1:33.

Too bad.
It aired on HDNet a few months ago, and was in its OAR.

Shoot. I don't think I've got that channel. It kind of sucked when they had the "Coming up next" promos, it was in it's proper scope. Also, the Warner Bros. shield logo from the 1980's was used at the beginning, instead of the newer one that was on the DVD. Pretty cool to see that again.

Why it is still a common practice today not to use the OAR? Channel 4 in the UK is the only one that does these days.

Why it is still a common practice today not to use the OAR? For the ignorant folks who still despise the "black bars."
