Gazer and Tallo. If you vote for anything other than 'I already hate this movie' you're both lying

I'm hesitantly looking forward to it. The cast is solid on paper, and I like what we're seeing in the on-set pictures.
The "hesitantly" is there because of Zack Snyder.

I am at the don't know stage. If there is no John Williams music I definatley will not be going to the cinema to see it.
The music for me has nothing to do with Donnerverse. For me the music makes the emotion of a movie and for me using John Williams theme will help that.
eg. The Latest Batman movies I do not remember the music, the same goes for Green Lantern, even Iron Man.
The Music needs to be memorable and I believe it won't be. If that is the case then no money from me.

Looking forward to it after seeing a few things like the sets etc. The more live action and the less green screen the better for a snyder movie. Although I know it will be impossible to not use green screen for certain things, it's just nice to see him doing things a bit differently.

I am, for one.
I hate the idea that a perfect Superman film is already being compromised by the radical costume change and change in casting.
I prefer it get cancelled (like the Nicolas Cage Superman film or the JJ Abrams version where Krypton doesn't die and Luthor is Kryptonian)- so that they get a filmmaker that I trust directing it.
If it were a great filmmaker directing it, I'd probably feel more at ease with the changes. I will admit that if the movie is fantastic, I'll take my misgivings back, but right now.... there's a lot of dread that I wouldn't have if the director were someone that I trusted and wasnt' one that wrote "Sucker Punch" nor directed the horrible dramatic scenes in "Watchmen".
If this succeeds and but isn't that great (ie GI Joe), then it's a mixed start. Maybe some nice action scenes to enjoy, but not a preferred choice.
If this tanks, then how soon will WB ever do another big-budget Superman film?
If this gets pulled before it's finished, then I think the odds may not be great, but better that a new film get done right, than under Snyder's hands. (Sort of like how I wish there weren't such a bad Green Lantern movie that was done. Now, we may NEVER get another good Green Lantern movie at all)

Meh, so I selected neither here nor there.
Of course, it's early, so we should revisit this in 2013 to see how our opinions have changed, if at all.

Being totally honest, if you asked me about this at the very beginning with Snyder's name attached I would've been more skeptical about his involvement. But there a number of things that have helped changed my mind:
1.) live action stuff and real locations - goes against a lot of his previous work
2.) I think the costume design is pretty strong. The removal of the red trunks and other tweaks doesn't bother me that much. They've maintained in keeping the emphasis on his chest with the 'S' symbol and made sure he has an authoritative/commanding design with his cape which works well with the rest of the design. He's got the boots I love - similar to Reeve's.
3.) Strong cast of actors similar to STM which puts a lot of anxieties at ease for me personally. I would hope if Snyder was doing something crap the cast *cough* Crowe might put Snyder in his place.
4.) You've got Nolan's involvement. How much remains to be seen, but his name is attached and I doubt he'd want to go down with this movie if it were to tank.
5.) I'm assuming WB wants to get this right more than ever this time and will have carefully weighed up their options moreso than ever before - hence the hiring of Nolan's help etc. And I also believe if things were looking a bit iffy part way through they would have the guts to sort things out.
6.) The re-writes that we have heard rumours of actually alleviate some of my anxiety in this aspect of the movie as well, meaning that they aren't going to settle for any cheap sounding crap.
There's a load more that I can't think of right now but I guess you could say I'm trying to only look at the positives here. I know there are negatives, and I could probably find tons of if I want to be picky, but I want to be optimistic. I want this to work and be spectacular and for the time being I'm trying to remain open minded and willing to give Snyder a chance.

I think anyone who's going to pay money in the theatres (including myself) is going to try his/her best to enjoy it and not focus on the things already disliked going in (I did that with Daredevil knowing I wasn't happy about the Ben Affleck casting and X3 with Ratner directing) . But, I'm keeping the option to voice displeasure at decisions he makes that I'm not crazy about that keep on coming that don't seem that great....

i am not hesitant about how the movie will look but how it will feel.
not only snyder himself... it seems so damn hard nowadays to make any big budget movie with soul.

ain't that the truth. i still go to most of the summer blockbusters and enjoy them. they come out on Blu/DVD, i buy them, bring them home, enjoy them, but just about all of them anymore, especially when i compare them to the stuff i grew up with, are pretty hollow.

All too true. Hollywood has always been a machine but now it seems to be cranking out soulless assembly line productions more than it has in decades. Reboots to the left of me and sequels to the right of me. Any shred of risk and originality has been sucked out of most films.

I can safely say that I am "looking forward to it". My love of Superman far outweighs my dislike of the director. Other than the choice of the director, I have no major issues with the casting, the leaked images, etc. Do I have reservations? Of course! But I'm a Superman fan, first and foremost, and I'm looking forward to this interpretation.

Any and all good feelings I have about this movie (good cast, real locations, decent costume) are canceled out by "yeah, but it's Zack Snyder". So with that in mind, I have no opinion until I see something really good or really bad to swing me.
