A fan cut that combines STM and S2

Agreed. I don't know when it happened. but suddenly everyone is anti Hackman for both films. To me he's a highlight of both films. I dunno. Maybe ever since the Donner Cut came out and removed all the cheesy stuff from the main villains, now they need something else to go after. Maybe the removal of all the campy stuff made Lex look worse by comparison. Of course, the villains were always supposed to be menacing, with Lex providing comic relief (in part 2). That was always Donner's intention. With Lex now helpless to these new villains, now HE'S the comic relief. First it was his cronies, but they're out of the picture now (literally), and he's not at the top of the totem pole anymore.

I don't know why everyone now suddenly wants the film devoid of all humor. I mean, did any of you see Superman Returns? God that movie is depressing. Keep the shitty-self serious stuff elsewhere, and away from the childhood films I cherish so dearly, thank you.

Either way, the only Lex line/joke I ever removed in my fan cuts was "That was 2 days ago". Which I only removed because it was a continuity error. Not because I didn't think it was funny. The toilet joke is still there, but I use the RIC dialogue audio, so we don't actually hear a toilet flush. In that regard, I can understand why the jokes are cring-worthy. It brings the film down to kiddy-film. Damn you Thau.

Hackman is a good actor, but he needs to go from STM and S2. He himself isn't the main problem, but it's all the crap that his presence brings.

If there were no Lex, there would be no Otis.

Until someone actually does what you ask (which they won't), he ain't going anywhere. And that "villains rule the world" scene that you've repeatedly asked for over and over for the last 6 years? It ain't happening either. Not unless you learn video editing and do it yourself. Funny thing is, if you had done that 6 years ago, you'd have actually made it by now. Whether you yourself voiced in the new dialogue that Stamp never did, or hired someone that sounds like him.

Hackman's a great actor. My distaste is only because of personal preference about the way villains should be portrayed. In my head, Luthor's a bad ass schemer, not comic relief. There are far worse things in SI&SII and Lex did seem menacing at times. I just needed more of it. To each their own I guess.

Gene is one of the best things in STM and II. Always look forward to his scenes in both pictures. He has an excellent presence and moreover a great voice.

Lois doesn't die,Superman takes L and O to prison. Cut to: ''Morning Lois'' Clark gets hit by taxi. Lara de-powering,Jor-El re-powering.

Pretty much all of Lester cut with scenes here and there (personal preference)from TDC.

Luthor and Hackman are good elements in STM and SII that serve a purpose. Instead of being cut out I'd rather just see SOME of the more over the top humor involving Luthor being toned down.
