Finally got this finished, just about to start uploading it. I'll post when it done. Here's the bluray/DVD covers and disc art. I had two fonts and colour schemes that I couldn't decide between so I'm going to make them all available and you can choose which you prefer.   |

The covers are FAR better than the covers that was professionally used for the SR dvd, imo!

I agree... out of all the images, the theatrical 'Christlike' poster that came out & the one of Supes & Lois floating above the building are the images I liked the best of the SR promotional artwork. Funny thing is: For Batman Begins, they also had a lot of interesting choices (shown on their dvd) for posters, but the final one chosen was ok, but not the most dynamic by far. But then again--- I wonder who DOES make the final choice for these- the president of the studio, committee vote, the director, or who? If only one of us worked at WB to give us the inside scoop(s)...  |

Booshman, let me say a huuuuge thank you for this fan edit. The edits/alterations you have done to SR are a perfect example of the potential SR has, that were let down by editing decisions. The colour, the deleted scene insertion, all seamlessly integrates itself beautifully into the film. I already liked SR, but this makes it better and is now easily my second favourite Superman movie. I've never looked at SR as a standalone film that goes its own separate way. Instead, (especially even more after watching this edit) I choose to see this movie as a great way to finish the movies that started with Christopher Reeve. Brandon Routh does the perfect job at finishing the part Reeve left after SIV (which in my view and perhaps many others, was not the best way to end the films that started off so great). And this edit asserts itself as being just as good as the movies before it, which is definitely more now than it ever was before. If anyone feels they want to give SR another go, then look no further than Booshman's fan edit. Thanks Booshman! |

Version 2.0 with improved colour correction is now online on both DVD and bluray. All PM's replied to (I think), if I haven't gotten back to anyone give me a shout or post in this thread. I just checked your video on the colour correction!. wow what a great job matey. Im very impressed. I hated that green tint the film had.

The colour correction in that clip is from the first release of the edit. Version 2 is slightly tweaked and improved from that version. Reduced saturation overall and less red in the skin tones. Here's a couple of examples (version 2 on the bottom):   Hope you enjoy the film. |

Anyone trying to download this on a mac? I tried 3 different programs but they all open the file as a .dlc
I've never seen that file extension before and it won't open.

The .dlc file has all the links in it. You need to open that file with jdownloader and it will queue them up and start downloading them. I dunno if it available for mac too, but I assume it would have some mac based equivalent if not. |
