hecko everybody, after 6 years of searching for accurate fabrics and information, and after to access to an original screen worn suit measures, I finally make my first Chris Reeve Superman the movie replica. Thanks to the experience that Action Costumes have making the best Suits in the market, now this dream project become a reality.  Here is the promotional pic for you to see. I think everything looks AMAZING except for the boots. Were they created using the same material as the originals? It looks too leathery and seems to wrinkle very easily.

Didn't the original boots have zippers on hidden sides, that they had to switch back and forth during filming? (Pretty sure I read this in an interview, but knowing nothing about costuming or boots, I dont' know if they were kidding or not for STM)
On another note: again, congrats Sebastian on your dedication to these amazing projects- looks awesome!

Thank you guy !!!! in the Action Costumes facebook and E bay, say this about the boots.
This Item doesn't include the Boots but if you like to have them as well just take a look at the right side of this Costume and you will be able to easily add them to your order. The Boots for this Character will be more accurate than the ones you can see in this auction. This auction’s Boots are just for an illustrative purpose

Okay I didn't see that part about the boots.
If the original measurements were used, can the suit be ordered in Reeve's measurements? Reason I ask is because I would display it and not wear it and would want it to resemble Reeve's build.

Yes Jack ! We have all the Reeve measures, but if you don`t have the rigth proportions on a body like the Chris Reeve, is not going to look as good as if you make the suit in the size, shape and proportions of the manequin that you have. That is AMAZING  Any chance you could do Wonder Woman in future? Alternatively Adam West or Michael Keaton's Batman would be good. Otherwise keep up the great work. You need to be hired by Hot Toys as a matter of urgency! |
