I'm gonna have to see about going someplace to join in. i'm getting cable but not getting installed till monday night  So i'm going to try to go somewhere with my laptop with wifi for a few hours. And i'm also going to be calling the cable company to see if theres any chance that i can get them to come out friday. |

Hopefully my dinosaur computer will be able to handle the chat without crashing or freezing or repeatedly booting me off. Well I've got a whizzy new computer that features the deadly combination of IE 7 and Vista. So far every session of IE 7 has ended as a result of it crashing at least 90% of the time. Vista works and looks all very nice but it appears IE 7 has more than a few problems either with Vista or it's just unstable. It's more than possible it just has problems with itself. I think it may have a Fight Club complex. In fairness it's probably Flash plugins causing the problem. So as long as I avoid all websites I should be able to browse the net in safety. Out of the two of us I'm willing to bet that you with your ancient monolith will outlast mine in chat. |

IE 7 was developed FOR Vista. Jeez Microsoft, you can't even get your own software to work on your OS. ;D IE 8 is coming soon, right? Let's hope that fixes things for you, otherwise there's always....  |

Now if only firefox DID use that as it's icon.  LOL In fairness I do leave the machine on most of the time so one session could mean it's been on for two or three days on end but that's besides the point. I don't exit the browser because I WANT to. I exit because I open a page when it suddenly borks. Maybe the flash plugins cause it? Maybe it's memory although I have more than enough for that. Maybe there's some other memory problem? Maybe it's the Vista interface? Who knows?! If IE 8 doesn't solve it I WILL be reverting back to Firefox. May do so sooner. I do have Safari on here so may give that a shot. |

I think I'll wait for the next one - Superman II or something. Then I can watch it on my new shiny 1080p LCD TV. Still can't decide between a Sony, Panasonic or Toshiba (toshiba because you have on Jimbo and said the regza series was good LOL  ). |
