Well, the S3 vs MoS poll turned out pretty close. I was a bit surprised by how many people voted for S3 over MoS.
So anyway, you knew this was coming....
S4 vs MoS?
Try.
Vote.
Please.

There's no cgi villains in S4, but there are in MoS.

ATP must have felt cheated by Reeve, he said SIII wasn't good but he came back because they were going to do SIV better, it was better because he had some creative control too. Why did he lie to us damnit?!

WHO voted for Superman IV? I Will FIND him!! Don't look at me. I actually voted MOS. Though SIV had Reeve, and Reeve goes a long way.

There's a lot about MOS that's very, very encouraging. S4 just encourages me to start drinking again.

LOL!!! 4-5? In favor of MOS? Wow. I guess I was right: a little of Reeve goes a long way. Which is why I changed my vote.

To each his/her own, I guess.... To me, S4 had good intents and you got to see Reeve as Supes one more time, giving it his all...

I’d still watch SIV before I watch MOS. IV is also less up its own @ss than MOS is.

I’d still watch SIV before I watch MOS. IV is also less up its own @ss than MOS is. MOS's history didn't seem to have a good start to begin with. I get WB approaching Nolan/Goyer after Dark Knight's success, but... would have preferred it if Nolan/Goyer turned it down.. Nolan didn't seem crazy about doing it and Goyer has long said on camera he was the wrong person to write it. SIV on the other hand was Reeve's passion project that was underfunded and -truthfully- the actors had all aged a bit to be playing the same versions of them, from how the story was. But I did admire them trying despite all and still can still enjoy parts of the film.

I don't think Lois really needed to be in S4 that much.
The Lois and Superman arc was already done in STM and S2.
It would have been a lot more interesting for Lana to be in S4. Clark could even tell her his secret when he is agonising about what to do about the nuclear weapons.

I love/d Margot, but she did look much older at that point (even two years later from STM she had aged quite a bit sadly)- and having Lana in SIV instead might have been better with O'Toole, though it would have been odd not to have had Lois in it at all. But- SIV was already a compromise on a lot of levels, creatively, even before the budget got slashed. I remember having SUCH hope in reading that Starlog article on it years ago before it came out- oh well...

Clark could even tell her his secret when he is agonising about what to do about the nuclear weapons. I think it needed to be Lois at least for that scene. The two of them had already been through so much together that it mattered more. Clark had gone much farther and revealed much more to Lois than he ever did Lana. I’d say between the two of them he loved Lois more. The appeal of Lana was she was that girl next door, the unrequited love that maybe was maybe finally going to go somewhere. Clark and Lois were in love with each other so his feelings for her ran deeper. Plus he knew Lois would shoot straight with him on the problem. That’s the kind of woman she is. If Clark ever revealed his secret to Lana you run into the same problems he had when he did that with Lois. Part of the burden is it’s not easy for him to be fully truthful with anyone and have relationships like everyone else.

They had been through a lot together, but she forgot all of it when her memory was wiped in S2 The memory wipe was always going to be a weird thing in the series, I thought the writers (or maybe it was a Reeve idea?) came up with a clever idea for Lois to regain the memories temporarily.
