I'm glad you guys aren't in charge and are in a minority, otherwise it really would have flopped and we wouldn't be getting a sequel. It's cool that we might have the first Bat film in years where Batman can speak and I won't feel embarrassed. Good for you but there's a chance BvsS will embarrass itself more than. Especially with that team back and Nolan not around as much to hold them up on their training wheels. MOS would have gotten SOME kind of continuation no matter what. WB is too hungry for the kind of money Marvel is making. But it's way too early to call this a sequel. It's like saying AVP is a "sequel." Kinda? Sorta?

Well- that's the level of expectation that's here (for me anyways) now.
In comparing it to the barbaric olden times of the earliest superhero films, where we were lucky to even have a character have a costume or see any money put into the production, I guess it's fortunate that it's not going to be THAT- and I hope to be pleasantly surprised, but I admit the anticipation for this is only slightly higher than for Ghost Rider 3 at this point.

I wish SR had spent more time exploring the world without Superman.
With Singer's movie, he arrives at the start, so we don't actually see what his absence is like.

What was the point of introducing him (Routh) without powers anyway? He had them back the next day

Good thing there's Marvel Studios. If MOS was the direction all this is heading in I'd gladly take back the "olden times." They didn't have the technology but even some of those films and TV movies focused on things Man of Steel otherwise lacked. I'm looking forward to Antman more than Batman vs Superman. WTF?

That's one of my biggest gripes about SR. They bring up the topic so much in the movie but don't delve into it very much. That's a good point... There is some hints that point to how 'real' the world is by the inclusion of the news reports and Supes catching up on what he missed- but whenever the Lex stuff comes to the surface, there's much less emotional investment in the film and the reality of that particular world. You don't quite buy him as a real person, let alone a real credible threat... and that takes away from the film. I don't think it cripples the movie to a point where you can't go with it- but whenever the movie cuts to Lex's stuff, it's far less interesting.
