So this has just been released over at fanedit.org. If people who are interested in viewing it are having difficulty obtaining it, there are some helpful hints over there. There is some cover art there for it as well.
After five years, I deleted all my workflow files today. Quite a moment actually.
(Not before I made one slight change suggested by Shane that might be released as a version 2 ways down the track)
Also a commentary track has been discussed as well. Will see how it's received generally.
Thanks to everyone who chimed in on this.

Just finished watching the Tomahawk Re-Edit. Loved your version and the quicker pacing and tighter cuts.
But in comparison to Man of Steel, I have concluded that SR is a far weaker film, in so many ways, but especially in terms of script and story. Routh is great, especially when in Clark Kent mode. But the film is still slow and dark and just doesn't have much of an uplifting feel (besides the one plane rescue scene). Even Man of Steel needed to be more uplifting. But in terms of that magical, inspiring, warm, uplifting feel you get from a Superman movie, I'd put STM at 10/10, S2 at 9/10, S3 at 7/10, S4 at 5/10, SR at 4/10 and MOS at 8/10.

I'm a bit bummed that I can't say ANY of the Superman films has been 'perfect' from beginning to end... but a good number of them do have great scenes that I feel have what you describe. Hoping at the last minute WB releases an extended cut for MOS: I WANT to be able to like it more.... Maybe it takes a third viewing to really appreciate it?

I think Tomahawk's work showed us something the studio should apply to MoS. It doesn't need an extended cut, just a better cut. Oh snap!

BEAUTIFUL looking film... (Enough so that it's on my dvd shelf)... but either the way it was directed or edited make many of the performances just come off bad, or stilted at the least and begs for better cutting to improve much of the dramatics in that film. While Snyder isn't even in the same universe as Donner, it is interesting (in a sad way) how weak/stilted the performances came out in the 'new' sequences in the RDC- (one assumes) purely by bad Thau editing.

A 14 gig HD mkv file and a 4.3 gig mp4 file of this is now available. Some people suggested the DVD and Blu Ray files were a little difficult to get around so hopefully this makes things a little easier.

AMC did a text-trivia track for their tv cut of SR- it was very cool. I think a fan ofv the series could add a lot of insight, like the okudas text track for STTMP

A superman cinema forum skype commentary would be cool for all the films. Although I would probably just sit in silence all the way through Superman The Movie.

As long as it was a 3 and 4 back to back session, that would be perfect! Being drunk for Superman 4 is the only way to go:- "yeeeahh..... Loisssz izs still cute..." (Maybe Superman never did quite recover from the S3 alcoholism) Wasn't there a live chat done here a few years ago?
