Thanks metallo
Love this line:
If I worked at a donut stand, and I kept fucking up donuts, I'd be fired. Even if I made a tiny decent one every now and then, it doesn't matter. I'm gonna get fired.
Snyder keeps making those fucked up donuts but they still make a profit(heck i bought the Bluray!).....it is why he does not get fired.

I heard the top WB executives are now going to set up a secret Facebook group, and the author of the letter will not be included.

Basically you can't ever get punished if you're at the top... not in America at least.
That's why we're doomed to have Hillary has President and Zack Snyder making crap Super movies.

If this thing is real and this person really did used to work there...oh sh!t. Read the bit- I dunno.... I think there would be more specifics and anger over the behind the scenes that led to the layoffs, but it feels a bit generic for a 'whistleblower' letter. Dunno.

I'm not convinced it's real either. Most of it is stuff we all know. There no real insider info like we got on ghostbusters in the Sony hack or the angry crew members who leaked stuff on Reddit which turned out to be true.

I've always been convinced that if Man of Steel had been a flop they would have MADE Snyder finish Batman v Superman.

I've always been convinced that if Man of Steel had been a flop they would have MADE Snyder finish Batman v Superman. As much as I love Donner's work (and the human being from what I can tell) the Donner statement about the Salkinds forcing him to direct SII if it was a flop didn't make that much sense to me... unless the Salkinds were to have pre-sold part II ahead of time and would have made Donner figure out how to direct the rest of SII with 40 cents left in the budget. (Or something like that- though I still think it would have been worlds better than what Lester did to it).

Because STM was a hit, they didn't need Brando and they didn't need Diick!!! If STM had been a flop they would have tried to cover their losses by forcing Diick to finish SII.. probably on the cheap but finish it anyway. Donner wasn't owed anymore money.. and his contract was for 2 pictures.

The Snyder version of Superman is officially a failure Everything the insider said was true. Warner was a mess. Now they’ve been sold twice in five years.

The sad thing is: there's enough ip at WB that if they planned it out better, they could have had their own Marvel Studios that would gross billions (well maybe not so much now) every year.

The question is has the damage done been so bad that even if they turn things around can WB And DC have the kind of consistent box office success Marvel Studios has? It’s possible the brand has been tainted somewhat. You only get one chance to make a good first impression. WB would have to work very hard to fix that damage.

To me, I wonder how much the mainstream audiences care--- I know discerning fans can tell the difference, but I hang around them so much, it's hard to know what's buzzing in general audiences' heads. I don't think they can tell the difference between something 'in association with Marvel' with 'Marvel Studios', but I have relatives who love movies but just don't care enough to know and assume all superhero films come from the same company. We might put the thought into and know the characters, but it's hard to know for sure what the main-mainstream audiences think and feel. Your logic sounds right on DC versus the Marvel label- but now and then some things suprise the heck out of me. Deadpool making as much as it did? Joker? I wouldn't have laid money on that bet... so... will see, I guess...
