I've been listening to the FSM Superman box set way too much and have been digging the love themes in all of them but ive decided that Ken Thorne did the best interpretation of that melody. For example the tracks ' sleeping arrangements and Clark exposed as Superman ' really have the emotional romantic punch to them, the tracks really are improved with that sexy jazz quality to them...

My favourite rendition of the Love Theme is the STM one (used during the end credits).
"Clark Exposed as Superman" is great as well, one of my favourite pieces of music from Superman II.

Right now, its the energy displayed in Superman IV's "Fresh air", but overall its the grander flying sequence track from STM that is my fave.
Know what you mean about II though Olly, some great interpratations there; I wish the "flying" music had have been longer.

Actually, my favorite version came from an accidental find on iTunes, a lovely, simple, gentle piano rendition. The info escapes me now, but it's on my iPod.

I don't know about favorite, but I've always liked the rendition in 'Flight for Flowers'. Combining the Love Theme and 'The Trip to Earth' was something of a stroke of genius on Lester's part [he specifically asked for it].
And I concur, Clark Exposed As Superman is my fav too. The brief portion at the end of the last track ['Happy Lois Back to Normal'] is probably second, the wistful oboe stirs something in me.

If someone could tell me how to share a copy-protected mp4 or whatever the heck it is off iTunes, I'd be glad to. That's the annoying part about anything I buy from their store.
