i cant think of any non-Superman show that has the most Superman-related actors other than Desperate Housewives. here's what i mean: Susan Mayer - played by Teri Hatcher (Lois & Clark) Susan's mom - played by Lesley Ann Warren (auditioned for STM Lois) Katherine Mayfair - played by Dana Delany (voiced STAS Lois) Orson Hodge - played by Kyle McLachlan (voiced Superman in Justice League: The New Frontier) Gay cable guy - played by John Haymes Newton (Superboy) John Rowland - played by Jesse Metcalfe (FOTW on Smallville Season 3 episode Extinction) used to think the guy that played Zach Young is the same guy that played the FOTW on Smallville Season 3 episode Hereafter. just found out they're different actors. Zach's played by Cody Kasch & FOTW's by Joseph Cross...but boy do they look alike. just check out their imdb profiles: www.imdb.com/name/nm0189200/www.imdb.com/name/nm0440445/can u think of any other shows that has this many connection? |

kyle maclachlan was SUPPOSED to play george reeves in " hollywoodland ".
instead ben affleck did. kevin smith was supposed to do a superman movie and wanted affleck to be superman.

ben affleck played daredevil- and kevin smith snucka daredevil cameo/spoof into one of his movies ( i think it was jay and silent bob strike back ) .
the kevin smith angle got scrapped but we still got saddled with jon peters.
jon peters produced batman 89. batman 89 starred michael keaton as batman.
michael keaton and christopher reeve were in a political comedy called " speechless " .
christopher played superman .

terri hatcher played on lois and clark --
-- dean cain palyed superman on lois and clark.
gerard christopher was SUPPOSED to play superman on lois and clark but was ousted when producers realised he had played superboy - and they wanted to go with an unkown.
lesley ann warren and gerard christopher are connected to the donnerverse superman , terri hatcher and lesley anne warren are in desperate housewives, hatcher and christopher are ( loosely in gerards case ) connected to lois and clark.

To be fair though, Kevin Smith wants Affleck in everything. Many times he says in his tours and stuff that he would cast afleck as the shark in Jaws.

I think Affleck did a good job as Reeves, but those photos of from MachLachlan's screen test looked UNCANNY! I wish I could see that screen test...

Why they didn't go for him to portray Reeves is beyond me. I still haven't seen Hollywood Land.. thats what its called right? is it good? |

agree. the reeves segments are fascinating for any Superman fan, and i enjoyed the adrien brody "mystery" part of the movie as well. i do think that machlachlan would have been amazing, though. imo he's one of the most underrated actors around. dale cooper was one of the coolest characters ever.
