I have yet to hear ANYONE cheer for Gotham Knights. I haven't seen it yet, so I can't judge, but.... the silence is notable on Gunn's part. The obvious answer is they’re waiting to see how well Gotham Knights does and how it’s received by audiences. With Superman & Lois they know what people think of it. Of course the big reason Gunn didn’t confirm or deny the shows fate is he’s seen it and he knows if it’s any good. Either way they won’t announce what happens to it until after it premiers.

I cringe at the Gotham Knights trailer- but.... after predicting doom and gloom for Smallville PRIOR to the pilot- then seeing that it was actually pretty great- I've learned to have a bit of a 'wait and see' attitude, even if the trailer looks like a bad CW romance show. I am disappointed that we didn't get Geoff Johns to just takeover the existing Titans show, rather than having it cancelled, but, oh well...

Stargirl was ok but John’s is hit and miss.

While the tone felt a little too young for me- Stargirl seemed the most consistently good show to me for most of the CW supehero shows- though I didn't care for how the last season turned out- a story twist too much that undermined some of the good moments earlier in the season. You're right though- John's seems hit and miss for live action- which felt odd given his spectactular runs in the comic books.

That’s because it wasn’t developed and made as a CW show the first season. It was for the DC streaming service and later HBO MAX. It’s got the funding and filming schedule of their streaming shows. They decided to air it on CW as first run. There’s also the fact that Johns has a more personal investment in the show and made sure it was as good as it could possibly be. He didn’t have the same kind of motivation for the other shows he’s worked on.

I think JOhns might have had some stake in Titans, with it covering parts of his run on the series, too... but Akiva Goldsman (gah!!!) and the extra personal stake in Stargirl I agree may have helped guarantee that show better quality control.

Hmmn.... will have to see how it plays in the actual show. As just a photo, thinking of the resemblance to Iron Man's mentor/villain from the first movie, played by Jeff Bridges...

Heard mainly good things about the show... but I always feel like shows should end on a high note. If the budget is already being slashed, then hopefully there's a way that it doesn't compromise on the stories and characters - which are the most important to me.
Hopefully they also are able to deliver a good series ending that's satisfying. Those are rare.

This looks like some good casting.
The curly hair is reminiscent of Mark McClure's afro.
At least this time Jimmy Olson is played by a male unlike Man of Steels "Jenny Olson"

It's just too bittersweet.
The one really good Superman Live Action show we've had in a while and between COVID and new regime, it's being put out to pasture too early IMHO. The effects, I felt, were near movie quality which is amazing considering the TV budget constraints and the storylines to this point have been great. I honestly see this version of Luthor as one of the more terrifying ones so far which is refreshing as opposed to just being mean or real-estate scummy as in the past. He feels like a legit threat
