Did anyone think this was done well?
It looked too much like something out of the Star Wars prequels to me.
And the weird outfits and armour was like a Game of Thrones rip off.
Krypton looked bleak, ugly and unimaginative.

Hated it and the missed opportunities. Goyer’s Blade tv show was just as bleak and boring. I bought the first season and never even finished it. ugh

Krypton looked bleak, ugly and unimaginative. When I saw the trailers I thought it had promise as something going back to the Flash Gordon/Buck Rogers/John Carter influence on Superman. Sci fi meets fantasy. Unfortunately I think the production design was mostly the same old sh!t Patrick Tatopoulos has been churning out for over 20 years. I’d take the look of the Star Wars prequels over what he did for MOS because they at least kept the flair of the retro sci fi aesthetic of the old Superman comics. I said back then the movies early scenes looked like the Underworld movies then I found out he worked on MOS too and it all made sense.

The show gets better as the season goes on but while it was dark there’s also something b grade about the show. It’s like a well made fan film. Not only does it contradict the movies several times but Kirk Jones wasn’t a very good Blade.

But Blade I did finish and it did get better by the end, but too little too late--- and still pretty heartless. (Same thing with Goyer's Foundation, which had one great subplot with a character that got wiped out by the end though)

ATP is talking about the Krypton set scenes from Man of steel not the show Krypton which wasn’t connected to the Snyder films at all after MOS underperformed. Though some of what I said about Blade the series does apply to the Krypton tv show. Krypton was the better of the two though.

Sorry, in coming to typing on threads, I sometimes squeeze it in and don't get enough sleep and am a little muddled! Blade and Krypton tv shows are both pretty dreary under GOyer though. I don't hear a lot of great things from teh Constantine tv show which I think was also GOyer.
