The New York Post first broke the story. I didn’t post it here because other sources hadn’t confirmed it yet and neither has WB. It’s looking more and more like it’s true. It’s a disaster for them either way. If it’s that bad that’s very troubling. If it’s not and they are simply shelving it because they want something bigger and better that’s also troubling.
WB is under new management but if they did spend almost $100 million on this film it’s crazy that they won’t try to get their investment back in any way. I think this eventually gets released somehow somewhere. It might not be for a while but they’re going to want some of that money back. People had hope for DC under Discovery and David Zazlav but so far it’s all been murky at best.

If this does get some kind of release I’d expect it to be something digital first. Whatever is most cost effective for the studio.

I didn't realize at first that it's the same directors as Ms. Marvel. The Ms. Marvel show wasn't perfect, but for a lot of it, it had a fun sense of freshness to it- if the Batgirl movie had the same energy, I'd be more excited to see it. Either way.... there's enough that looks interesting to it, to want to check it out.
