Brooke Ellison, subject of Reeve directed film, dies at 45.

I’m a bit late but this is the first I’m learning about this. I’m sure we all remember this young lady and the film about her directed by Christopher Reeve. I’d forgotten just how young she was when she was injured. Something similar happened to a girl I went to school with. She was the victim of a hit and run right on the campus but luckily her injuries were minor. Like Chris Reeve said something life changing can happen to any one of us at any time.

Brooke had an incredible story of perseverance and achieved so much despite her disability. A life well lived indeed. RIP.

I saw the Brook Ellison Story she was played by Lacey Charbet.

On a side note, was it good that Reeve died when he did? He was so full of hopium for a miracle cure but if he were alive today he’d be in his 70s and would not longer entertain dreams of walking again.
