What the heck happened to Mark Pillow?? He was an Adonis in S4…. where is his luscious golden locks and sun kissed abs?

I’m more surprised he’s come out of the woodworks to do these conventions, especially after a credit in the Superman special features said that he couldn’t be found. I had an opportunity to see him at a convention, but I couldn’t think of anything I would have asked him about that isn’t covered elsewhere.

Thanks for sharing- I just got through the ROuth one- and I was amazed that most all the questions I would have wanted to ask, were asked there. Big pity there wasn't more news on the aborted sequel, though... Its funny that when he does grin, he becomes Superman again. He's aging well!

He’s got the look now more than he did twenty years ago. I think he needed to mature a bit. Hopefully we haven’t seen the last of him as Superman. I know the chances are slimmer than ever but you never know.

Agreed- there's not a lot of human beings on the planet that can genetically be Superman onscreen... and even then, there's a short window of age where that can happen- hence, my frustration (and I'm sure way moreso in Routh's case) on WB not calling him while he's young enough to be him.
Every day that ticks by, a wasted opportunity, I say...

I agree it’s sucks that Routh isn’t getting another chance to show what he can do but it’s always been that way. They’re going to go with something that they feel has more potential. You could say the same thing about them not using Cavill or Hoechlin anymore.

Hoechlin I think is fine in the tv show, but still don't feel like he's Superman as I picture him even with enjoying the show (but it's all subjective of course). Glad others love him on the show, though....

Glad others love him on the show, though.... The difference is Routh didn’t get nearly as many chances as Cavill. Cavill got to try again under different filmmakers and still never really delivered. Hoechlin got praised out of the gate but then his version was criticized because of the writing not anything he did. Then he got a reset with Superman & Lois and different creators and turned all that around. Same with Routh working with different creators on COIE. Cavill got more opportunities than either of them. Better opportunities. Yet he couldn’t overcome all the deficiencies in his version of the character. That tells me it wasn’t just bad creative. He looked the part but there’s more to it than looks. I don’t think he ever had that special something as an actor and his non Superman career over the last decade has only reinforced that.
