The voice and way of speaking plus the mannerisms. Very similar to Reeve in interviews.

It’s like you said once Brandon Routh looks more suited to play the character now than he did then. I think he’s aged into the role as time has gone on.

Routh really did get screwed as far as getting to continue playing the character. The Cavill fans complain that Henry got screwed but he got three shots at playing Superman. None of them really worked out. Routh got one on the big screen before he was replaced.

That’s why it’s hard for me to feel any sympathy for Cavill when some complain about how he was treated even though Routh never got that kind of support. If WB were to give anyone another chance the line should start behind him.

It’s like I said before though the only reason I think Cavill kept on getting chances was because of the shared universe concept. WB didn’t have to make more Superman movies for him to continue on in the role just more movies in the DCEU.

With Routh there were no other films or franchises to take the character to continue appearing in. George Miller’s Justice League film was its own stand alone thing with his version of Superman.

Awesome! I am glad that Routh got a chance to revisi the role at least one more time on tv- and thought it interesting that he mainly wanted to revisit the role only if it was close to his version of Supes. I agree... but hopefully he'll have a chance again in the futrue.
