On the first day- Perry introduces Clark to everyone... only Jimmy and (in the extended cut) only one other person gives a pleasant greeting back. As the series progresses, co-workers just seem to be less and less amicable (if not downright unpleasant to him ("UP! UP! UP!").... makes you wonder if the DP was worth saving, or full of rotten unpleasant people?

You'd think with everyone forced to work at a communal desk there would be at least some forced pleasantries in order to avoid awkwardness. What really concerning was Lois's low-key racism when the black man with the toothbrush in his mouth say "Morning Lois!" and Lois just brushes him off with "Yeah... hi." Also that guy shaving in the office... who DOES that? That man was probably homeless which is why he shaves and showers at the Daily Planet.
