It'll get made after sitting in limbo for 10 to 15 years just liek ALL WB comic book movies. Thats about how long it took Catwoman to happen and SR.

I'm sure Batman will be the main character.

Batman is the only property that DC/Warner can successfully make into films. Sure, they're not all good movies, but they were all planned, shot and released without issues. Is that because of the DC/Warner relationship? For the past 10 years, it's felt like there's always been a "will they/won't they?" vibe to Warner Bros. and their DC properties.
Marvel, on the other hand, utilized a bunch of studios and managed to make a bunch more movies. Marvel made movies through Fox, Columbia, Lionsgate and Universal. At any given moment, there always seems to be a Marvel movie in the works. DC, not so much...

If it wasn't for the 1960's tv show, Batman would still be in the same position as Superman.
Everyone can name at least 5 Batman villians. How many villians from the Superman comics can most people name? And that, I think, is Warners problem. Thank the maker for Smallville for atleast getting Brainiac and Doomsday out there!

Great point.
I guess the Superboy TV show didn't have enough viewership to bring the villains into to mainstream. I only remember Bizarro and Mxy though. Were there more?
Also, too bad Lois and Clark didn't do much in that regard either. All TV and most of the movies have shown is that Superman fights Lex Luthor.

People love to bash Smallville, but in all honesty, it's probably the best version of the Superman Universe to ever be on TV. The show is somewhat rooted in the Donnerverse (The FOS) and they've had guest from previous incarnations of Superman. Their version of Brainiac and Doomsday are better than their counterparts. Don't get me wrong it's bashed because they do have some crap on the show from time to time, but the this season has been freaking awesome. Bash is all you want, but it's still on the air and we might end up with a ninth season.

I've ALWAYS said that! The better the rogue's gallery, the better the success of the superhero. Which makes me wonder why Flash has never gotten up and running. He's got a very good villian list.

Most of them are too tame thats why. I mean they aren't nearly as deadly or evil as Batman or Spider-mans foes. I just can't see The Pied Piper cutting someones heart out or breaking somebodys legs. They're more interesting annoyances than deadly killers.

Flash never had a successful show that everyone watched as kids.
Young adults of today grew up on the X-Men, Spider-Man, and Batman cartoons, and look at what movies bring in the big bucks.
Superman is as big as it is thanks almost solely to STM. It got out of the gate first and was well-made, so it's the one everyone remembers. It was the benchmark of comic book movies, and subsequent Superman films have that vibe to work from. I don't think the Superman cartoons were ever regarded as "cool" by the populace like the three I mentioned above. For Halloween in the early 90s, everyone wanted to be Batman, Spider-Man and Wolverine. I went as Robocop once. ;D
I remember the Iron Man cartoon pretty well as a kid, but that one never had the spotlight like Batman, X-Men and Spider-Man. I'm surprised the movie was as successful as it was. I think the design and Downey's performance sold it.
