Now that the holidays have subsided, Mark had a chance to send me two photos of how he looks today. So, without any further delay.... Still waiting to hear if he'll be invited to the Metropolis, IL Superman Celebration this year... In eseption for the hair, he looks exactly like in 1987. It would be very interesting if he share with us, photos on his personal collection of the movie with Chris.

funny - his hair is the same style as Hackman's in SIV! HE is the father now.

Great stuff, lotsaheight! It's really cool that you were able to get in touch with him. I'll just echo what everyone else has said; the guy's in great shape, and it sounds like he has a pretty solid head on his shoulders. It's good to hear that he's doing well.

I didn't send one. I thought it would be tacky. "Hi, you don't know me, but watch this DVD!"
But since time has passed, I guess it would be a good idea. Anyone up to the task, or should I burn one?

Seriously I like Mark Pillow... his performance in SIV was actually kinda good. When he roars on the moon... I don't think I'd ever seen such energy put into a performance. That enegry spilled over into the premiere unfortunately... but... I mean seriously how many actors could so a semi decent job with such pathetic lines like "Destroy Superman" It did kinda suck that Nuclear Man had to fight a over the hill beer belly wig sporting impotent Superman though... he really put him to shame. Too bad he never got to fight STM Superman when he was in his prime! THAT woulda been a fight!

no way! Reeve had a perfect physique in STM... don't forget he was wearing spandex! And he only wore a wig in like 2 quick shots in STM cause they were obviously rehoots after Reeve lost his hair.

Again, owned by a 15 year old.
Legsy runs off to commit suicide.
Seriously, Reeve suffered from alopecia areata (starting at the age of 16) meaning he would lose chunks of hair at a time. Every iconic scene in Superman The Movie has Reeve sporting a wig. From the helicopter scene, to rooftop dinner date to Luthor's lair, he wore a wig. Check out the Blu-ray, it's very noticeable.

Well when he says he likes pink it's pretty obvious it's a wig. I'm not too sure about the hilicopter resue though... I would say the vast majority >90% of Reeves STM footage has him with his real hair.

No, it wasn't. There were a couple of Clark scenes and a handful of Supes scenes where it's actually his hair. But most of the times you see Supes Chris is wearing a wig.

You know the answer to that. We haven't scene Shat's real hair since TOS was canceled back in the late 60's. Affleck started wearing one at an early age, probably mid to late 20's. I'm not a big fan of his work, other than his part in Dazed and Confused.

Shatner underwater at the end of Trek IV, very convincing!

Hey Legsy can you tell me exactly which scenes in STM where Reeve had his real hair? I don't have blu ray!
I guess its kinda ironic as it seems, Hackman was supposed to be bald but kept his real hair and Reeve was supposed to have hair but didn't and had to wear a wig!

Shatner underwater at the end of Trek IV, very convincing! So did Matthew McConaughey in Fools Gold and the hair club dude in the swimming pool. My friends and I always laugh at that. Theres some weird crap going on there. Like a whole gap in his hair opens up!
Whats Shatner wearing now? Hairpiece? Transplant? Looks a lot more realistic than that thing he wore in the 80's. I always though the rug from VI looked best.
Pacino's gotta be wearing a rug now.

Man, I would never have guessed that was Mark Pillow today. He looks so unassuming. Guess I thought he'd still be sporting the mullet and muscles.
