You BASTARD.
Get over here!
I watched this documentary again a couple days ago.
Man, Terence Stamp seems like a heck of a funny guy. So different from his evil Zod persona. Seems like the kind of guy who'd be great to have a drink and a chat with.
Then again, so does Mark Pillow, judging from the recent interview with him. Totally different from Nuclear Man.
(Isn't it funny how actors get associated with their roles and people just assume that they are like that in real life? I believe the same thing happened to Stallone: people just assume that he is like Rocky Balboa in real life, and are really surprised by how intelligent the guy is.)

Stamp was the most watchable person in that whole doco. The guy is a legend and sadly we don't see enough of him.
The Brando impression was hilarious, but the "JACK" line was the best.

Agreed- I was suprised how easygoing and funny Terence Stamp was- He could probably do a whole one man show of the entire Superman movie saga with his impersonations. I'd pay top dollar for that.

Is this in the Superman Ultimate Collection set? I don't remember well right now. But yes, the guy is great. I'm sure he could still rock it as an aged General Zod in another Superman movie... Man, I love Gen. Zod!

Wagner was anti-semetic; Walt Disney was a chain smoker; Adam Sandler is apparently the nicest guy in Hollywood. So what's your point?

I don't think Spacey burning in heck has anything to do with him being gay. If he ends up there, it's probably because he's a rude, self centered son of a bitch. At least that's his reputation.

Any stories?

Hm... well...
First- gay/straight- who cares? Irrelevant.
Second- reputations....always suspicious, unless one knows & trusts the source(s).
Third- For my own opinion, actors/actresses only have one responsibility (as far as being an actor goes)--- to get behind and do whatever the director says and puts the story first.
On "Inside the Actors' Studio", Spacey put story first and foremost as his duty. Most actors on that show feel its about the actor and the actors' ego before the story...
I have a few actor friends who realize just how hard it is to break in--- so, any actor who is lucky enough to get work should respect the writing (& director) first.
Anything else is extra. If they're great people in person, that's a great bonus.... but it's not the reason I pay money to see a movie. I want a good story, with great directing and acting to support it.
Whether or not they're self-centered is a little silly.... everyone is. But, do they support moviemaking or do they hold up productions for the sake of their egos or drug binges?
Spacey seems to support the idea of making movies and seems to help it, not hinder it.
Isn't that what really counts?

I thought he didn't even wanna do movies anymore? He just wanted to do theater?
Being a fantastic at something doesn't give anyone the right to be an asshole just because he or she is fantastic at something.

I was being facetious.
I don't care about anyones sexuality. My musical ideal was a bisexual male, big deal. Spacey is a very private person, there are rumors he is gay, but I really don't care. His work speaks for itself and that to me is the most important thing. He does seem a little full of himself, but that's the nature with all Type A personalities.

Rumours he's gay? He's bent as a 5 bob note!
He was seen walking on Clapham common - a well known haunt for picking up rent boys - at 4:00AM
But like you say, its totally irrelevent as far as his career is going. I think he did best in LA Confidential
