I only promise each one of you that if you see my special SII cut you will GREATLY prefer it to all other cuts and never want to watch an alternate cut again.
Only problem is that I updated my OS and now i can no longer open Final Cut Pro X ( I neglected to export the project from Final Cut Pro).

You'd better hope Selutron doesn't find out you have made a fan cut. You know he doesn't approve of it. Only professional editors should be making new cuts of S2.

I'd love to see it. The more takes on it the better I say. There's a better version of SII amongst all the Donner and Lested footage.

I'm not a fan of the newer Final Cut.... curious what's in the fan cut! My fan cut contains so many emotional sequences never before seen in Superman II. A lot of the movie has a new score now as well. Hoping to find a way to get it online.

Can you share a preview list of any changes/etc? Very curious!

One example: Lester version of the re-power: Clark hears the voice of Jonathan Kent (one thing I do know son....you are here for a reason) right before he screams out father. The scene also has LOTR music in the background "Gandalf Falls"... it works way better than the theatrical cut

It's an interesting choice. My thought would be flash backing to the original time the prophecy was spoken in STM before the scream. In any case, very curious what you came up with.

Well the point is that when Clark says he "failed" he remembered his earth fathers words to him.. that he was here for a reason and he failed to live up to that reason.

If (Glenn Ford's) Jonathan Kent were alive in S2, would he have approved of Clark giving up his powers to be with Lois?
In STM, both fathers give him conflicting "advice" but he chooses to ignore Jor El in order to revive Lois.
In S2, would they have been on opposite sides too?

I think he would tell him a mans got to go his own way. I don't think he'd be as rigid on giving his own opinion as Jor El.

If it was David Goyer and Snyder directing, anytime Jonathan Kent said anything Clark didn't like, they'd have Clark pout and yell: "You're not my real father, old man!!!" ;p (*There's a lot I actually forgive and even like in MOS, but that bit just pissed me off to no end...)

Costner Pa response "I don't know...maybe."
