If right after he gave up his powers Lois told him that she only loved Superman and not Clark and that she does NOT want to be with him anymore.
How would Clark have reacted to this?
I think Clark may have lost control and killed Lois in a fit of blind uncontrollable rage.
he'd regret it later, but I could see Clark experiencing temporary insanity if Lois broke up with him right after he gave up his powers.

I dunno.... depowered Clark gets beaten up in the diner by one guy half his size pretty easily. I imagine Lois could take care of herself. But... poor Clark. Fortunately, if the movie took that direction, then they still could have used the Brando footage where he restores his son's health and powers, as Jorel in the RDC says "This... I also anticipated, my son." Though- yeah, not such a heroic story.

No, a battered Clark would go back to the fortress and look for the green crystal of hope and just find it missing.
Lois, the selfish B*tch would have stolen it and sold it to make one of her apartment payments. I
In fact Lois was going to steal the green crystal anyway but it fortunately fell out of her purse in the Lester version.
