Why was Lois so quick to correct herself?
My guess is she didn't want Superman to feel obligated to stay too long... thoughts?

It was sexual innuendo. Lois was known for that in the movies (how big are you--I mean how tall are you). "Afterward" as in after sex.

It was sexual innuendo. Lois was known for that in the movies (how big are you--I mean how tall are you). "Later" as in after sex. MIND. BLOWN. I thought when Lois said "afterwards" she felt that she was pressuring Superman into staying longer as if there would be a dinner AFTER the interview/high tea. By correcting herself and saying LATER.. she tried to imply that dinner would be a part of the existing event and therefore the event wouldn't be too long for Superman to endure. I can't believe this was a sex joke that I never got until today! I guess it woulda been a sick "4" way between Superman, Clark, Lois and Lacy. Clark/Supes could just bang back and forth between Lois and Lacy that it would appear he was doing both simultaneously. Wow.. my innocence was robbed...next you'll be telling me that Lacy inviting Clark for "high" tea meant that they would be smoking weed the whole time.... Lacy didn't mean that did they?

No.
And keep in mind it was a sort of unintentional double entendre on Lois part but intentional on the writers part to be humorous. She didn't mean to say that but blurted out what was at least subconsciously on her mind since she's swooning over Superman. Then she realized how inappropriate it sounded.
