The fact that Lois orders a COKE instead of OJ at the diner.
Did anyone else think this was weird when they first saw SII not knowing about the change in directors?
I thought that maybe Lois was allowing herself a reprieve from her diet due to being on her "honeymoon" but you figure Lester could have just dubbed in a line about OJ during the scene.. ol' Lesticle DID take credit for the diner scene after all.

He took credit for it ALL. (bah. humbug.) At least he didn't touch (from what I can tell) the edits that Stuart Baird had made on most of the Donner sequences. Though- I do wonder whether or not the White house sequence would have kept Zod with the gun (which mysteriously disappears anyways later on in that sequence) or if that was a Thau addition.

There's certainly a lot of advertising for Orange Juice (and Marlboro cigarettes) in SII. I, for one, am glad that Lester didn't 'loop' Orange Juice instead of Lois asking for a coke in that scene. Good he had the sense to leave some of the Donner stuff (relatively) untouched....

I can't figure out is the cigarette content in SII is supposed to be pro or anti propaganda?
Lois is shown to smoke like an ashtray as a joke about her apparent health concerns and Superman gets thrown into a cigarette truck (bad for hurting Superman).
But nonetheless we see soo many cigs in SII that I can't help but associate Marb-Reds with Superman II.
Thoughts? Is the smoking message in SII good or bad?/

It's just a product placement deal ... from the S2 wiki :
"Anti-smoking campaigners opposed the film as the largest sponsor of Superman II was the cigarette brand Marlboro, who paid $43,000 (approx £20,000), for the brand to be shown 22 times in the film. Lois Lane was shown as a chain smoker in the film, although she never smoked in the comic book version.[17] A prop included a truck sign written with the Marlboro logo, although actual vehicles for tobacco distribution are unmarked, for security reasons.[18] This led to a congressional investigation.[19][20]"
£20k for 22 placements in S2 ? Seems like a bargain.
Now I know where my fondness for Marlboro, OJ and Ron's garbage comes from.

Maybe that deal fell through!
