I always wondered why Lana wasn't in SIV? Maybe she was using her vacation time? Did she return to Smallville and finally hook up with Brad? Was she canned because she was a terrible secretary???
Perry White isn't actually in SIV very much.. he spends most of the film downtown asking the bank for a loan.. so I guess that could explain his assistant Lana's absence.
It would have been nice to see Lana and Lacy both fight for Clark though.... Lois could still have hung around as a misery ol' bag.

I think she just moved on. I'd like to think she got a job at a tv news station as a nod to the comics. In the comics she was a tv news reporter and later an anchor for WGBS news.

Well why didn't Clark marry her? Jor-El was dead at that point so Clark could have gotten away with it.

If Lana went back to Brad, then I, for one, would cheer Clark moving on.

The same reasons people don't always get married in real life. Beside Jor el being "dead" is a moot point (he was always dead after krypton blew up for one thing). The same issues would exist with any woman Clark got close with and he knows that. That's the real reason it didn't work between him and Lois in Superman II.

The way I see it, Clark gave up his powers to get with Lois because his dad gave him a guilt trip. Once old-man Jor-El is no longer in the picture, ol' Clark-boy is free to do what he wants women-wise. No way Lana wouldn't have married Clark, and no way Clark would have been satisfied with being celibate the rest of his life. And no amount of one-night-flights with Granny Lois w/ a post amnesia kiss would be sufficient. If Little Ricky was the problem, I'm sure Clark could have just thrown him into the sun along with the other weapons of mass destruction he tossed in there.
