If Clark had been suicidal enough to attempt to attack Rocky a third time?
My guess is that Rocky would have stripped Clark buck-naked and thrown him over the diner counter and onto the flame where his steak was burning.
I'm glad Clark knew when to stay down... any further attempt to attack Rocky would have resulted in a devastating injury and abject public humiliation.

One thing a little odd about that whole Rocky/Clark thing is that Clark looks to be a lot larger than Rocky. In one of the earlier drafts, it was supposed to be a couple of guys, but I guess it might have seemed a little too dark...

But what could be worse than a naked Clark rolling over the hot grill with burning steaks in front of all the diner patrons?
Could Clark have EVER lived that indignity down??

I suppose after poor Clark burned, he would say that Jor-el predicted all of it, including Rocky and the hot grill. "He knew. I heard him. I just didn't listen."

Well Rocky could throw a naked Clark onto the open-flame grill with the steaks burning -OR- he could drag Clark into the mens room and brutally run a train on his a$$ with all his trucker buddies.
Which would work better from a dramatic point of view?
We need to see Clark hit a low point to make his triumphant return as Superman all the more satisfying.

When Superman shows up at the Daily Planet and asks the immortalized question: "Ever hear of Freedom of the Press General?" We need to contrast that against a low point in Clark's recent life. Rocky hardly touched Clarkie boy... all hbe did was tug his hair and smack him around a bit... it was all Don's fault for putting an unnecessary glass window smack in the middle of the diner... Clark should sue his booty!!!
