He identifies with Black’s world view. You can see it in his take on the DC characters especially Superman. Can’t believe I never put two and two together before. Then there’s this “gem”from Snyder. I still remember when he said it. Still can’t believe he did.

That's bizzare- but I more blame the gatekeepers who could have stepped in.
In a way, the one that doesn't get blame (but maybe should have some) is Chris Nolan. If he had the authority to step in and interfere or have final cut, he could have but didn't for MOS.

If he had the authority to step in and interfere or have final cut, he could have but didn't for MOS. Nolan is a one trick pony who has long since outlasted his pretentious welcome. Inception,The Dark Knight Rises, Interstellar, Dunkirk and Tenet have pretty much exibited all the limitations(aswell as over indulgences) in his repertiore: Phony expositions, muffled dialogue, poorly visualized action sequences, predicatably unpredicatable time chronologies and metronomic scripts that lack any spontanaeity ect ect. Sorry, I went off on one there.....but yeah, Nolan has just pissed me off so much over the last 15 years or so. I was never a huge fan of The Dark Knight either and I am confident enough to admit it. A talented actor died before it's release elevating it's relevance. It's no Superman The Movie that's for sure.....Ok at least in my books! But imagine if Christopher Reeve had died in an accident before STM's release.......how would that have played out in terms of media hype for the yet to be released movie! And Nolan would end up being the guy who would oversee another talentless hack in Snyder(with all his individual quirks that Metallo has outlined above). So the whole MoS thing was a poop show from the word go.

So the whole MoS thing was a poop show from the word go. I think it's a bit harsh on Nolan (especially as Nolan gives nothing but respect to Donner's Superman as an inspiration for his own Batman Begins) - but, I've also been tough on Lester. We're all entitled to our feelings on director's work, of course. The Dark Knight I thought brilliant- one of the best superhero films, period. (Maybe because it was modeled well after Michael Mann's "Heat" movie, which I worship) The Dark Knight Rises, though... ough. One of the worst. There's stuff I liked and didn't like on Nolan- but I do think that his work overall is a bit overrated. Heath Ledger's dying I agree raised awareness of Dark Knight prior to it coming out- but I have such a high estimation of the movie that I'm glad he completed his work on it before passing away. I do think Snyder has some visual flair that I like- but the rest is a mess. Adding Goyer- who is a mixed resume as well- and, again, he himself said on camera he was wrong to writer Superman.... just added fuel to a disastrous fire.

But you are right in the sense that Nolan has to share some of that blame. Same for Cavill and Snyder. At the moment, WB is taking the heat(as they should) but the aforementioned individuals are getting away scot free from the fandom's wrath, when they too should be incurring their fair share of said wrath.
