Jim, good to see you posting again. I somewhat remember George Lazenby as Jor-El. It's been years since I've seen any episode of Superboy. I hope WB decides to release the rest of the series on DVD.

Tom Welling's flaring nostrils are very distracting to me. I met Brandon in 2006...very nice gentleman like Chris. Will he be the George Lazenby of the Superman film series? Time will tell. Speaking of George, does anyone remember him as Jor-el in the Superboy TV series? If not, you can see him in this gallery: capedwonder.com/CW-Superboy-BTS/index.htmlJim Bowers Was Lazenby a good Bond? I can't say because I have never seen him in the role. And agreed on Welling's flaring nostrils, but I find his pouty lips and bad acting even more distracting.

Welling ain't that bad. It's all about the writing, and we all know Smallville isn't consistent when it comes to writing. ;D I swear, there have been some moments where he just screams SUPERMAN. Then there are others where he's just, blah.

Yes he was. He had the bad luck to be the first Bond who "wasn't Sean Connery" and paid a disproportionate price for that sin. Of course, there have now been four other Bonds who also "weren't Sean Connery" and so Lazenby can be judged a bit more fairly. IMO, he was actually better than Connery at that stage in the series. By the time YOLT and DAF were made, Connery had turned into a parody of himself.

^Cool, thanks! I've heard good things about that movie. Was it too campy? I should check it out sometime. I'm intrigued about this Lozenby guy. lol Yes he was. By the time YOLT and DAF were made, Connery had turned into a parody of himself. Good. That's what really matters.. And interesting info. Thanks, ATP

Whoa... that Superboy gallery makes me really wanna see the series again. I don't remember the Stalinist looking stuff at all! Looks cool! Reminds me of "Red Son."
